To be fair, I never suggested that the V'draysh were AI. I honestly hadn't given that aspect a lot of thought. But perhaps its members are subservient to this future AI. Or worship it, fighting for it. Regardless, the outcome would be the same.

I really, really, really, REALLY don't want a reset button.
Having said that..... I am willing to give everything a chance. If they do, and they can pull it off in an interesting new story-arc, I'm willing.
If they seriously send Discovery to another time, that might be even worse. It's way to gimmicky.

I had the opposite reaction, season 4 almost completely killed my interest in the show, I was not ok with them dumping the original characters (except for Peter), I was invested in them and their relationships and they just disappeared. At first I thought it would be a two or three episode arc of Peter finding his way back home but nope, they were just gone.
Since I loved the show up until that point, I did my best to excuse the reset. I didn't hate it but didn't love it, either.
Same with me. The factor that saved it a bit for me was that Olivia got the memories from the original timeline later during the season.

My father's a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. Have you ever seen the commercials where senior citizens tap on something and say "Help! I've fallen and I can't get up!"? He was part of the team that designed those. Late-20th Century technology. So I don't have a hard time believing Section 31 can have TNG-style communicators in the 23rd Century. It's not this super-advanced thing. It's just the style of choice in the 24th Century, whereas in the 23rd Century, Starfleet preferred flip phones, except for a brief spell in the 2270s where they used wrist-watches. The Reliant was behind the times and refused to let go of them.

If they are going to reset the timeline, Spock is going to die. Probably at the end of the 14th episode.
Why do I say that? First, it would be a great cliffhanger and trigger a giant internet reaction. Second, it would fit in with the "Burnham must suffer" theme of the series. Third, it would eliminate a potential reason for Micheal to hesitate in rebooting the timeline.

If they kill off any one that definitely exists in the future of Trek then they will finally admit this is NOT the Prime universe and I am ok with that.
But yeah more likely they will press the big red RESET button instead.

I meant if they are going to press the reset button. I expect in that case Michael will travel back in time and fix everything via the Future Suit or something similar anyway, also undoing her being raised by Sarek.
We're still eight years before TOS, I see no reason to 'reset' the timeline at this point.

My current Android phone looks like a Black, Glass Brick when turned off, but it does a shitload more of stuff than my first flip phone did back in 2001.

I'm a detractor of the show, and I also don't need to see the show reset. Though the fallout from the detractors should have been something they anticipated when they openly stated this show was eight years prior to TOS.
Should have simply said it was "Star Trek in the 23rd century" and let the fans sort it out.

Nope, it will be wrapped up before the end of episode 14. We won't be wondering about Spock's fate or any such thing between seasons. There will be a cliffhanger leading into the next season, but it will be to set up the next storyline, not to resolve the current one. I think that's pretty clear considering the recent comments from PaleyFest, especially Anthony Rapp's quotes here and here.
