Okay, but I don't get what's being argued now. There were all sorts of inconsistencies in lore in S1, right up to the name of the organization to which the Enterprise belonged. But it's pretty inarguable that Spock was the First Officer at some point during the series. So for a JJ-Verse production to show him as "second officer of the [original] Enterprise" in a graphic dating from long after he left Starfleet is just rank stupidity an/or carelessness and not emblematic of a group that gave a damn about Star Trek. Sorry if I'm offending JJ fans, but I'm just over those three films and everything about them.
