How much have you slept lately?

Over all, how much sleep do you average a night.

My body's internal clock does not sync with my actual schedule, and it refuses to adjust. Ideally, my body wants to go to sleep around 1:00am and wake up by 9:00am. But during the week I have to be up no later than 7:00am to go to work. I physically cannot go to bed before midnight, so I typically average 6-6.5 hours of sleep most of the time. I also don't fall asleep easily and must sleep with the TV on to provide adequate white noise. I can't sleep in silence because all of the random little noises, thuds, creaks, etc. just make me paranoid and keep me up.

Last night i stayed up until about 12:30 am. My wonderful dawggie let me sleep until 10:45 this morning. I'm telling you, this is the greatest dog that ever lived.

I had a delivery coming to day, so I was up for 6.30am but because I'm on nights tomorrow I had a few hours sleep this afternoon so I can stay up late tonight, so I can try to get my sleep patten set for nights.

Try to wake up at 4 or 5 am,like I do every day...

I've been doing this for about a month, getting ready for a weekend class that starts at 6am. Have to admit that I've been feeling really good physically and been (mostly) getting to bed by 10 or 1030 even on nights when I can sleep until 530 or 6.

Last time I came off night's I went to bed at 6.30am and got up at 7.30pm:eek: then went back to bed at 2am.

Did that one night after driving to LA to start a vacation. Was visiting family, but so as not to overwhelm them, I decided to get a nearby hotel. I had a bit of a sinus infection at the time. Got in to my hotel at 1130PM, went straight to bed, and the next thing I know it's 530PM and my family is on the phone wondering why I have not made it there for dinner yet....

I said 4 hours, but I have the weirdest sleep patterns.

I have an extremely difficult time staying asleep. I can go to bed at a decent hour, but then wake up 2-3 hours later and stay awake for 3-4 hours before falling back asleep.

My physical clock works just like Warp Coil's. My body wants to go to sleep around 1am and wake up around 9am. I do get up around 9am because I have a flexible schedule. However, I don't always get to sleep before 1am. So, I'd say I get at most 7 hours of sleep.

I usually anywhere from 5 to 6 hours... The thoughts keep me up because I'm bipolar.

Welcome to the club. :)

Last night I crawled into bed around 12:45am and woke up around 9:30am. I actually got over 8 hours of sleep. A beautiful thing, and not something that happens too often.

I finally got some sleep, just under 7 hours a few nights ago. It was more than a collapse than falling asleep. I simply crashed, I got home and was getting ready to make something to eat. Last thing I remember was turning on the TV and waking up to the DVD menu for Die Hard 4 playing over and over. And it was pretty damn loud too. I'm back to the 4 hour thing or less, last night it was 3, night before 3-1/2.

Slightly off topic, but related: I had a wonderful sleep last night, the best I've had in weeks. I feel so refreshed today. I also had an odd dream about a black bear following me through the house and trying to break down doors, but I dealt with it effectively by calling the police and hiding in my room. Turned out the bear could talk and just wanted someone to pet its face. So it's all good.

Seriously, having vivid dreams is a good sign with me; I'm pleased to see I'm having them regularly again.

I don't usually sleep all that well anyway (maybe five to six interrupted hours a night if I'm lucky), but it's been especially hard to sleep the last few days because I bruised my tailbone pretty bad.

I've been stubborn and held off going to the doctor, but the pain is not going away and Ibuprofen and pain relief cream aren't cutting it, so I'm going to have to go get it checked out.

I try to get at least 6 hours in a night. It's hard falling asleep though, since I'm typically a night owl anyway.

Pah, you try being cause by Satan through a house without any doors and windows and...

What?

{ahem}

As to my sleep patterns, well I don't really have any. Even on a workday or any other time I have to be up early I might go to sleep at 2am or even later. And since I'm very lazy, getting up in the morning is a pain in the...neck.

I'm sure your parents told you not to to abuse your coccyx so much.

They said it would make me go blind, but mostly it's just been a real pain in the ass.

Ba dum cha.

Yes. YES. Everyone take note; this is the kind of pun I want to see more of on this board. Move to the top of the class. :D
