I was wondering this after watching the season finale. How much time do you think it'll take for Fringe to complete its story? More than three? Less than seven?
Can someone tell me about this show? I hear its like the X-files but i never really watched that show as it seemed each episode wasnt connected to one another.
Is there an storyline through out the season or is it just a bit of standalones like
X-Files?
Thanks! I just heard good things about it but really dont know much about the show.

Bear in mind that I haven't actually watched the show yet myself. The premise, as I understand it, is about a scientist who conducted fringe science experiments way back in the 60s. A lot of the work he did was waaaay out there conceptually. Now a lot of his former work has been picked up, a piece at a time, by various bad guy types. So they pulled him out of the moth balls and set him up with a team to counter them. Something along those lines.
That's how I felt about it. The basic premise is similar on the surface, but the further the show moved from the pilot the further it moved from the perceived similarities. The show definitely has potential and I don't see much of the X Files comparisons. There are some similarities, in premise, but the shows have a totally different direction and feel.

The show itself seems pretty bland, as with most JJ. Abrams material. I'm predicting a swift cancelation after two to three seasons.
Isn't this show on Fox? Hmmmm....

... and Anna Torv was Rupert Murdoch's niece by marriage for 20 years until he divorced her aunt -- also named Anna Torv. That, plus the fact that it's a JJA show, will give it some longevity I hope.
