How many quatloos?

You mean there actually was a currency called "quatloos" on Star Trek? I thought Futurama just made that up.

Most certainly! It was in the episode "Gamesters of Triskelion".

And in a Greg Proops stand up session in England.

Something along the lines of "twelve quatloos on the bespectacled one".

He seems to be something of a Trekkie, in another line he compared a horde of women, ovulating over Sean Connery, to the "Horta episode of Star Trek".:rommie:

^The money or quatloos doesn't have to be physical. For all we know they could manipulate their accounts through mind transmissions or waves.

Robert

Meh. I suppose. I mean...look what we're all discussing here TO BEGIN WITH.

Three day-glo brains under a big plastic canopy that make alien slaves fight one another with giant silver can openers.:rommie:

On that you'll get NO argument from me. You're making me thinhk of a hypothetical "Introducing Non-Trekkie To Trek" moment:

Hofner to date: "No, really, Star Trek is a really good show, good drama, serious adult stories."

Starts tape which he hadn't bothered to rewind and on screen appears...

Green-haired girl in tinfoil bikini holding giant can opener.

Well, guess Hofner won't be going out with that girl again.

Robert

I guess as far as green-haired-girls-wearing-tinfoil-bikinis-fighting-with-giant-can-openers stories goes...this is definitely in my Top Five.

^Do you think it was just a coincidence my tape "happened" to be at that point in the episode? :)

Robert

You dirty, dirty boy.

How dare you lust after velour and tinfoil pitched in mortal combat.
