Dude, this is an awesome fucking time to be a Trek fan. CBS/Viacom are willing to spend an outrageous amount of many to give a create a ton of Trek content of varying tone, style and subject matter. Some of it will be your cup of tea; some of it won't. But you're bound to find something you like.

No one's strapping you down Clockwork Orange style to force you to watch Discovery. If you don't like it, watch something else Trek-related that you do like. I don't force myself to watch the Roddenbery/Hurley years of Next Gen outside of the five good episodes. I know what I like, and I watch it accordingly. Relax and do the same. Your nerd rage-related stress levels will plummet.

On Topic: Was just really excited Star Trek was coming back in general during the DSC announcement. It wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but it was Star Trek, and that was a big ass deal. Now that ST is back and...feels like it is safe from being cancelled randomly, I am stoked about PIC, for sure!

Yeah, very VERY happy we got Star Trek back on TV! While not being a big fan of DSC, I'm glad it succeeded and has lots of fans that demand more shows. It works in all our favors.
