I'm looking forward to it but not "excited" yet. I'll get that way once I see the first teaser.

The family tradition is that I always see the first showing of all Trek movies with my dad (and recently my 13-yr old niece -- they're the two Trekkies in the household other than yours truly).

My dad is 85. In okay health but still... so I pretty much want this movie to be released yesterday. I think he's more excited about it than I am right now.

In IMDb site I read in cast list some actors and actresses called Star Fleet Civilian or Civilian. Will we see any Starfleet facility or an civilian starship?

In Memory Alpha I read in Stunt performers list:
Paul Sklar - stunt double: Peter Weller
Cassandra McCormick - stunt double: Alice Eve and utility stunts

Will we have action scenes with Weller and Eve?
Weller, if I remember correctly, said something like playing a starship captain.

I picked this up on Thursday night. Looks the same format as previous years. But... I was surprised it was quotes and info only - no pictures!

I doubt mine was a misprint.

Excellent!! Now that really is good medicine!!

I am absolutely flummoxed by this news. :cardie:

I doubt it, too. I just cannot understand why they would not include photos. I was going to order it for my desk at work - but not any more.

I expert star trek 2013 to be one of the best summer movies of next year just like the 09 film was. So my expectations are pretty high, I expect it to be better than Iron Man 3 and even man of steel.

Lastly I hope it can get a world gross of 500 million dollars.

A text-only calendar pad would be much cheaper to reproduce. It's been quite a few years since we got a page-a-day calendar for ST. It's packed in the usual cardboard box. New fans wouldn't know the difference. Older collectors buy it and don't realise it is text-only until they get it home; I assume some will return it for a refund. Casual buyers picking it up for Christmas gift-giving probably don't find until until after December 31 that it has no pics.
