How do you choose which incarnation you watch?

I do that alot too....put trek on (in one form or another)...and just have it as background sound, rather than sit and watch the movie.

Ahh... "The Empath". I empathize with you about that episode.

The only Trek I own are the movies... and a few favorite episodes of TOS and TNG. I have not had much interest in collecting every last episode of Trek (I know... I am a heretic!)
TNG is on SyFy every Monday night and ENT every day. I am an episodic viewer, hence I have never 'gotten into' the long, drawn out story arcs of later Trek.

ds9 is my favorite of character simply because the stories are out of charter at times from a trek series when compared to TNG .

TOS is about the only Trek I watch on TV these days, but I rarely watch Trek at all. I'm more likely to watch a classic western movie or one of those 1950s classic sf films like Forbidden Planet.

"seasons 1 & 2 remastered" of what? I will never pay for DS9, even if it is put on superduperfantasticaldefinition3D.
