How Deep Is Your Love for VOY?

How much do you Love VOY? In what ways do you express it? Do you write volumes of Fan Fiction? Do you own every brand of Voyager merchandise? Do you keep your hair in a bun, like Janeway? Do you have a facial tattoo, like Chakotay?

LOL
I do love Voyager quite a lot. My personal love goes as far as buying the dvds when they came out, collecting some autographs, and a Captain Proton tshirt. Though more recently I have been watching an episode every day as an escape from painful divorce drama.

I write fanfiction. It's not all that good but it's fun.

The only thing I buy is the books and even then just the e-versions. I'm not big into collecting or toys. I do watch episodes on a regular basis but at the moment we're doing a TOS re-watch.

Well, it's my favorite. I've read in other threads about it's flaws and I do agree with most of them, but it's still my favorite.

I read some of the novels, but I've also read novels from the rest of the series as well. I guess I probably read Voyager and original series novels the most though. I read fanfiction like stories by @stardream (I think you use different screen names on FF.net and AO3). I'm not into collectibles, I can't afford them and don't have room for them. I don't think I would enjoy conventions.

Oh yeah I also go to conventions. One comming up at the end of this month and one in the beginning of next month.

Yes I do use different names on both places. The names I wanted to use were taken.

I would like to go to a convention, just once, but I doubt I would dress up. I went to a Harry Potter book release party wearing regular clothes with a nametag that said 'Muggle'. ;)

If you are near New Jersey there is one next week, and one in New York the following week.

Currently, I read buttloads of fanfiction and write only a little. I watched the whole series for the first time recently and am rewatching them all now. I'm on this site. The background of my phone is the Starfleet Logo and I have a couple Star Trek apps that look like the computer terminals on the bridge. I just wrote a letter and bought a picture(to get signed) that I'm sending Kate Mulgrew. I follow her more than Star Trek, to be honest. Oh, and I actually like the new JJverse. So I watch the movies when they come out.

If I had money, I would go to all sorts of conventions and buy all sorts of tee shirts and nicknacks, but I do not. So I must settle for the free stuff.

I really like Voyager even if I'm very annoyed by some aspect of the series.

I'm still around here after all these years which would be evidence for that i still care for the show and its characters. ;)

As I see it, Voyager had the best characters of all Trek series and also the best premise.

Great show but it could have been better.

As for fandom, I have a website for one of the characters, I have written some fanfic stories and also come up with a Timeline for the episodes and books, a Crew Manifest and also constantly tries to come up with solutions and explanations for the contradictions ad odd things in the show.

As a Kate Mulgrew fan, are you watching Orange is the New Black?

Really? That's awesome. She said she had a few Russian people come up to her and tell her that they thought she was Russian, which was a huge compliment that she was doing the accent well. Is that true that she does it well?

And I don't know if you saw my post a few days ago, but I'm in a similar situation to you where I am in the middle of a divorce battle. And from what I understand, you recently watched the series for the first time as well. That was pretty cool to see that we joined almost on the same day.

As deep as the ocean.

I still think VOY has the best onscreen/offscreen actors and characters, though DS9 creeping up :). But if pushed to vote as to 'love' as opposed to 'admire', VOY wins.

I laughed so much at this, and reminded me why loved them.

ENT third after VOY and DS9.

TNG never appealed, but I love watching Frakes, Sirtis and Dorn on convention circuit. They just seem like having so much fun!

Yes her accent is really good. When she does actually say some Russian words they're not great but pretty good for someone who doesn't speak the language. It's a hard language. I'm sorry to hear that you are also going through a difficult divorce. Once my newbie restrictions are lifted we can chat privately and help each other if you like.

i'm not watching the show for the first time, I watched it as it aired originally and many many times since. I'm just re watching it right now as an escape from the drama.

Sure :) I think mine are lifted in about 5 days..?

Oh! I must have misunderstood one of your posts :) And yeah, I'm kinda using it for that same purpose now. It's a dang good escape.
