The Badlands series? Never heard of it ...How many volumes altogether (including all the shows)?
There's just two. It's a collection of novella length stories.

Thanks. I'll look up some information about this and then probably have a go at it. Two volumes are digestible (does this word exist in English?) even if some of it is about Mr. Boring-To-Death Picard ...There's just two. It's a collection of novella length stories.

Some of the earlier Voyager novels felt a bit off to me compared to what I saw on screen. The first one I really liked was Marooned by Christie Golden. I liked Mosaic and Pathways.
I do know that "The Escape", "Ragnarok" and "Violations" were written before the show was aired and the authors only had the scripts as information. Still they are good books!Apparently, a lot of those books were commissioned before the show was even filmed. I remember one book where Janeway referred to Chakotay as Number One and the Doctor was called 'Doctor Zimmerman'. I thought The Murdered Sun was the first time they were in sync with the characters as we know them on the show.
There are far more books that take place after Kes left. The first 14 novels take place in seasons 1-3. After that there are 28 novels, and still more scheduled to be released. What actually surprises me is the amount of books written and printed in seasons 1-3 compared with the amount of books written and printed during seasons 4-7. Did the authors lose their inspiration when Kes dissapeared?![]()
These are exactly the books that I read. I don't remember any more what they were about but I remember being extremely bored by them.I do know that "The Escape", "Ragnarok" and "Violations" were written before the show was aired and the authors only had the scripts as information. Still they are good books!
I wasn't referring to the Voyager Relaunch books, only to those who were written and published during seasons 4-7. There don't seem to be that many. There are far more books that take place after Kes left. The first 14 novels take place in seasons 1-3. After that there are 28 novels, and still more scheduled to be released.
I must admit that I really like those books. These are exactly the books that I read. I don't remember any more what they were about but I remember being extremely bored by them.
People keep referring to this MAROONED so much. Maybe I should read it! Christie Golden is by far my favourite author. This is a CG book ... isn't it?
How much do you Love VOY? In what ways do you express it? Do you write volumes of Fan Fiction? Do you own every brand of Voyager merchandise? Do you keep your hair in a bun, like Janeway? Do you have a facial tattoo, like Chakotay?
I, too, have written some articles about STAR TREK, in general, for other people's blogs. T'was a passing fancy, really. I rather liked the idea of writing about STAR TREK, without having to answer impertinent questions like, "....how dare you?" It was all very one-sided, which I found to be quite satisfying. It was very much a matter of "... I've got the mic"Let me put it this way. I have written and read a good number of fanfiction stories based on the series. I have also written a good number of articles and episode reviews for my blogs.
And I want you to know, sir, that you belong in the STAR TREK Poetry Thread:Well... to answer your question...
I really mean to learn you know?
cause I'm living in a world of fools
and they're breaking me down
when they all should let me be.
But really, It belongs to you and me.
Just so you know.
