How could anyone say Archer was the best captain?

I guess I just enjoy the more human Captains'. The ones who aren't afraid to make the big decisions, even if they might be wrong. There's just something more interesting about those characters.

Hm yeah, agreed. But that alien was ugly and
easy to hate. A cop-out and an awkward, weak comment on today's world. Plus I didn't recall Archer having second thoughts about what he was doing.

I think in Archer's case it would've paralyzed him to look back. If he had to stop and think about those things he had to do to accomplish the mission... he would've failed. I think the deeper we go into the season three storyline the more Archer is functioning on instinct.
