From TV.com:

While Foreman takes on a pediatric case on his own, the rest of the team deals with a 16-year-old factory manager and emancipated minor who collapses at work. When Foreman's patient takes a turn for the worse, he's forced to question whether he can deal with the situation on his own, or if he needs House's help.

Having just seen last week's episode (which was awesome, by the way) on Saturday, it feels to me like we're getting flooded with House. :)

- After Wilson scrubbed up, he held his arms right in front of House's face as he spoke. That's sloppy isn't it?

- I guessed correctly that the patient killed someone just moments before she confessed.

I saw a House rerun on Saturday and something surprised me. It had a different theme song.

House has always used "Teardrop" as its theme.

If you heard a different theme in a rerun, not sure why that would be other than rights issues with the syndication comapny?

Maybe it was just me, but I got a little choked up at the end.

I think it might've been the guitar folk-like music that played over the family reunions. Sounded vaguely Nick Drake-esque. Anyone know what it was?

My wife & I both got a little watery-eyed during that last montage as well. The juxtaposition of the two brothers, with the estranged daughter and her parents. Healing on all fronts - physical an emotional and familial.

Anyone notice how it isn't just Foreman acting like House? I think 13 seems to be skirting those edges, herself.

And I also want to know what song and artist that was over that montage.

RE: The House Theme Song

For the standard airings of the show (IE First Run) and on USA they maintain the teardrop theme song. However, airings on local stations and affiliates in the syndication package use the original orchestral score of the series rather than Teardrop.

No, it definitely wasn't just you.

But I thought House handled the girl really well at the end. I mean, he didn't get overly sympathetic or so, but then he wasn't as bastadly as usual either.

And wasn't it brilliant (if predictable of course) that Foreman's case got handed to him by House - even if via Cuddy...

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I like the way House has lightened up a bit during the most recent episodes.

I admit to feeling like crying during the end as well; I was feeling that way from when the girl confessed the truth. But to be honest I think that pushed it up to a "Good" from an "Average" for me. It's not that it was bad, just not as good as the last few episodes have been. It was great to see the original Doclings interact again, though.

And after some investigation I've found out that the music is a song called "Through The Dark" by Alexi Murdoch. There's a video or two on YouTube with it. It was also apparently used in the end credits of Gone Baby Gone.

And I also have to admit that I have a terrible time reading subtlety on television... Does Wilson actually have feelings for Cuddy or is he just playing with House? I had my suspicions last week, but I'm still not sure... (Sorry if this makes me sound dumb or something.)

Out of curiosity, what kind of research did you conduct to find out that song's identity?

As to Wilson ... for some reason I get the impression Wilson is simply playing mind game with House, in an effort to get him to do something, anything in his relationship with Cuddy. A relationship that come to think of it presents a question itself. Does the hopsital permit that fraternization? On top of that, Cuddy is house's boss, so that could present a list of challenges itself.

1) Looked up the episode on Wikipedia to see if it said anything (it usually does) and it did. The source linked to for the info didn't seem to mention it, though, so...
2) Looked up Alexi Murdoch on Wikipedia and it also said the song was used in the episode, and in the end credits for Gone Baby Gone, this time with no source at all.
3) Not wanting to report something from Wikipedia I couldn't verify, I decided to search YouTube and see if anyone had made a music video with it. There are a couple, like this one, and it sure sounds like the same music (judging after only one hearing during which I was not exactly committing it to memory). It doesn't seem to be on an actual album yet, which means I'm ready to eat crow if it turns out to not be the same song.

I remember him getting a funny look on his face after Cuddy gave him a peck last episode, but it's possible I was either wrong or reading too much into it. I only have a shadowy memory of the scene. But that was affecting my reading of his behaviour in this episode.

I guess I really wasn't watching that closely...it was sad, but no tears from me. I think Wilson's Heart took all of them. :p

Nice to see Foreman breaking out a bit.
