Blindly following it has consequences with covid as well, which is what I did. If we had listened to the one coworker offering masks over the US surgeon general recommendation not to buy a mask, the entire office would have been masked up and stopping the spread long before the actual science caught up to reality. Myself listening to that and informing them of the guideline hurt us more than the ridiculous idea of using bleach.
This irresponsible line of thinking was thoroughly
debunked in the other thread, so you just took your show on the road and repeated it elsewhere? Like I concluded there, you have no interest in the truth, you just want to blindly continue to cling to and preach your misconceptions and misinformation no matter how many people it hurts. You are discouraging people from listening to evidence-based research and reporting, all based on some anecdote about "a coworker" and a weird grudge about science.
Just because your one coworker suggested something (which was itself based on previous scientific study from previous pandemics) that a consensus of experts later came to the same conclusion about after actual testing and collecting extensive data doesn't mean you disregard all subsequent science in favor of Tim in accounting's hunches, or conclude that scientific research is totally hit and miss and not worth listening to.
If I seem harsh it's because half this administration is coming down with Covid now because of their irresponsible behavior and people still are spreading deliberate misinformation about not trusting the actual experts that the Trump admin have caused. Trump and his ilk have interfered with, confused, and suppressed the process of the experts doing their jobs and disseminating the information to the public and now they are paying the price for it, but people still take them seriously. You don't agree with not wearing masks, but you do agree with undermining scientists, which is just as damaging, not only in this pandemic but elsewhere.
Don't even know what concern trolling is, so I have no way of knowing if I'm doing it or not.
You seem to run into this assessment from people a lot,
Oddish. Maybe the vaunted debate skills you're always going on about aren't actually that great and you should change tactics a bit? Be less of a braggart. Stop constantly making bold claims and not backing them up. Stop shifting goalposts. Stop posting drive-bys and then running away from the discussion. Stuff like that.
