 Congratulations, my friend. You have just proven that you are more hateful than anyone else (at least that I've seen) on this board. You are a cut above (or should I say, below). Not only do you already hate the new movie before they've even so much as finished casting, but you also clearly utter and total disdain for your fellow posters. Very classy.

(And for anyone that's not sure; yes, the thumbs-up was sarcastic. I wouldn't want anyone to think I actually have even the slightest esteem for this guy.)

I clicked on his link despite the warnings of the above quote and a couple of others. Then again, I ignore "wet paint" signs, too.

A lot of contradictory information out there if a 34-year old read for Uhura but the (alleged) casting sheet that's been leaked calls for a 25ish actor.

If all these stirrings about casting Uhura, Sulu, Scotty, and Chekov are true, it looks very much like at least part of XI is set sometime during the five year mission. At that idea, "my nipples burst with delight."

Agreed. God, what an unfunny and juvenile stunt.

Maybe Portier read for someone other than Uhura.

How could I have missed this?

Whenever I clicked on the link, I got a blank page. Something must've been on it.

This is what I'm going to do: I'm going to ask the posters here who clicked on the link what was on there and I want another poster to back them up. It's the best I can do with the lack of evidence.

    Thanks.

It's a little Flash diddy that says 'PORN FREAK' in big block letters flashing in black and white.

Here The colours alternate very quickly.

    One warning for other.

Not the strictest definition of spamming (i.e. posting too much) but not exactly what I call trolling either.

    Whoops!

What I meant to say was I got the 'Porn Freak' page too, and I was the first to reply with the 'Not cool' to Beyerstein.

Yeah, I got porn freak too. How sad that someone has to sit in their room somewhere and try to think of ways of dissing people that he/she'll never see, never hear and never know. Totally sad.

Could someone tell me what the line from Khan was please? I have only recently been introduced to the idea of "canon" and I can't remember the line.

Like the "pix" of him with the gap teeth - looks like the kid from MAD magazines! :D

Khan looks at Captain Terrel and says, "I don't know you."

He then looks at Chekov and says, "But you... I never forget a face, Mr. .... CHEKOV... isn't it. I never thought I'd see you again."

The problem was, 'Space Seed' with Khan was a first season episode of The Orginal Series before the character of Chekov was created.

Khan's line "proves", because what is seen or said on screen is considered canon, that Chekov was a part of the first season despite not being seen on screen because Khan remembers him.

In the interest of completeness, I'll point out that not only did Khan remember Chekov, but Chekov also remembered Khan and the name "Botany Bay."

And this actually ONLY makes sense if Chekov was in his "swabbing the lower decks" stage. Kirk didn't publicize where he left Khan and Co... nobody who wasn't on the bridge crew would even have known what planet they dropped him off at.

That's really the only valid excuse for Chekov not realizing that he was in the system they'd dumped Khan and company off in. They don't tell the lower decks guys nothin...
