 Congratulations, my friend. You have just proven that you are more hateful than anyone else (at least that I've seen) on this board. You are a cut above (or should I say, below). Not only do you already hate the new movie before they've even so much as finished casting, but you also clearly hate your fellow posters. Very classy.

How could I have missed this?
Whenever I clicked on the link, I got a blank page. Something must've been on it.
This is what I'm going to do: I'm going to ask the posters here who clicked on the link what was on there and I want another poster to back them up. It's the best I can do with the lack of evidence.
Thanks.

...Chekov being on the ship in season one most certainly IS canon -- That one line spoken by Khan in TWoK made it canon. Nothing else ever said on screen contradicts Khan's line.

Could someone tell me what the line from Khan was please? I have only recently been introduced to the idea of "canon" and I can't remember the line.
Like the "pix" of him with the gap teeth - looks like the kid from MAD magazines!![]()

Khan looks at Captain Terrel and says, "I don't know you."
He then looks at Chekov and says, "But you... I never forget a face, Mr. .... CHEKOV... isn't it. I never thought I'd see you again."
The problem was, 'Space Seed' with Khan was a first season episode of The Orginal Series before the character of Chekov was created.
Khan's line "proves", because what is seen or said on screen is considered canon, that Chekov was a part of the first season despite not being seen on screen because Khan remembers him.
And this actually ONLY makes sense if Chekov was in his "swabbing the lower decks" stage. Kirk didn't publicize where he left Khan and Co... nobody who wasn't on the bridge crew would even have known what planet they dropped him off at.RookieBatman said:In the interest of completeness, I'll point out that not only did Khan remember Chekov, but Chekov also remembered Khan and the name "Botany Bay."
