Any other Caps fans here? They had a much-needed win last night, 2 points out of the 8th seed!
For fun I labelled some of the Caps players as Trek species:
Ovechkin: Klingon warrior
Viktor Kozlov: Romulan
Niklas Backstrom: Vulcan
Olie Kolzig: Human (captain)

Pretty much sums up the entire Toronto season.
Hilarious.

It's even happened to St. PatrickI refuse to believe that. In fact, the hockey gods may strike you down for your impertinence
It is, however, awesome when it happens to the Leafs.
agreed
one thing I always hate to see is Bertuzzi scoring a game winner like he did last night. Tell me he didn't take a dive to draw the penalty![]()
I've been searching for it all over the net, but can't find it - I do remmeber seeing it on Coach's Corner though. Just one of those bad bounces, what can you do.I refuse to believe that. In fact, the hockey gods may strike you down for your impertinence
Havent' seen it yet, but Bertuzzi is one of those guys who does get away with diving - his size helps, the refs believe that it must take quite a bit to take him down or something.one thing I always hate to see is Bertuzzi scoring a game winner like he did last night. Heh, I remember that but there actually was a goal "scored" on him similar to the way it went down with Toskala the other night. The Patrick Roy one was in 2002(?) against the Wings(?) when he made a fantastic glove save, and then threw his hand in the air to show he caught the puck, only for it to fall out of his glove and into the net.

I'm pretty sure Roy's Statue of Liberty gaffe happened in the Stanley Cup Finals against the Devils.
edit: Never mind, it was the Wings. Fuckin' Shanahan.
