I'll do one better. Let the reboot be a full on, live action adaptation of the animated series. It would still be better than the second movie.
Well, if the definition of a Highlander movie is a sex scene that shows the class of the movie, the second movie's sex scene was literally a quickie near a garbage heap. So...... yeah.

The source was supposed to launch a new trilogy but how they expected to follow it up i don't know.
It was just awful, at least highlander 2 has some decent scenes in it, i can't think of one in the source. Duncan playing Batman was a bad start and it just got worse.

I didn't even know this existed until I read your post; how the hell I missed knowing about this is beyond me.
In any event, I quickly checked to see where I can watch it and was delighted to find it on Prime. Will definitely be checking this out tonight.
From what I determine, it maybe erases Endgame from canon as well? I would have no problem with that, knowing that both MacLeod boys are still out there.
