Hey, I never noticed that before....

Just curious. Do you suppose that the stunt cat they used was the same one from "Catspaw"?
I can't recall the source, but I remember reading that Isis was actually played by three cats. The one that got the most screen time (the "hero" cat) was a male named Sambo. (A name that probably isn't given to too many pets nowadays.)

I remember as a kid back in the early 70's that there were several Sambo's restaurants in the area. They all got bought out by the Bonanza Steakhouse people. I miss those. Aren't there still Bonanza Steakhouses around in other parts of the country? I seem to recall seeing one in southern Florida once on vacation.
A quick check of Wikipedia shows that by 1979 there were over 1100 Sambo's in 47 states. Then they got sued by just about everyone over the name being offensive. Two years later they went bankrupt.

In Michigan I think ours got bought out by Denny's. Sambo's had a set of panels depicting the story/myth above the counter area.

I remember those. Though they made him an Indian at the Sambo's my family went to. I guess that was supposed to be better? Being the pedantic little kid I was I always questioned the idea of tigers in Africa. So the Indian change made sense in that regard.

Sorry, I didn't mean to . . . well, you know.

I have absolutely nothing to back this up, but I always thought that maybe each ship in starfleet having a different insignia might have been a nod to the American space program, which was reaching for the moon as this series was being created -- each Gemini and Apollo mission (I believe) created its own unique patch/insignia that the astronauts wore, even though they were all using essentially the same type of spacecraft.
