Nikki was mentally ill and could have easily killed an innocent person if she'd lived long enough. Sylar has murdered dozens of people by now. Peter nearly blew up NYC while not even trying to. Matt used mind-control to avoid an investigation into his shocking incident of police brutality. Even sane, nice people are dangerous with powers.

I figured that Maya's plotline vs the Shanti Virus would be something like that and I'm glad it never played out, because that's just predictable and hokey.

Based on the preview for next week, looks like Temis was right all along. "Sylar" really is inside Matt's head, and the Carnie Gang's gotta go all out to get him back!

Also Matt would know that Nathan had been killed, and Sylar is back. Hopefully next week will be better than this week average.

I hope we haven't seen the last of Nathan, he almost came back in this episode. I also hope they go down the route that the Nathan persona isn't just a brainwashed Sylar but a person in his own right. It would be a lot more interesting if they do.

I was hoping theyd go there too, but I doubt it. Really, couldnt they have let poor Adrian play the amnesiac Nathan/Sylar in the last 2 eps? They already have Zach playing the "head Sylar" in Matt's brain.

How about if he's both? He's a brainwashed Sylar and a person in his own right. Even if this new person was born via brainwashing, that doesn't mean he doesn't want to live, won't fight for his existence, or that he doesn't deserve to continue to live.

I'm really hoping when the inevitable showdown with a desperate Matt occurs, that "Nathan" will realize that Matt can save himself only by destroying him, and will fight back. Then I won't know who to root for, which is the best kind of fight.

And I agree, I'm glad they established that it's someone with the self-identity of Nathan, not Gabriel, that we're dealing with. Much more interesting that way.

Or alternate between the two. If "Nathan" realizes that shapeshifting is one of his powers, he might re-form into Nathan again. He did that briefly when the jets flew overhead, so it seems like a muscle-memory thing...
