I loved this episode. I must say that the scene with the deaf girl honestly was one of the most beautiful scenes I have seen on TV in a long time. It was handled marvelously. Who knows, maybe this show will escape the hammer this season? If the quality continues who knows that could happen.

The cello was beautiful.
The rest of the ep - meh.
Claire and her roomy need to have sex to keep my interest up.

^^^^^^
If Gretchen and Claire are for some reason classified as "an ugly girl and a midget", then yes. Yes I do. I guess I'm a pervert. :p

I liked this episode. Still not terribly exciting yet though -- I imagine some sort of sense of urgency will develop eventually, but I'm a little surprised to see them actually take their time with it, considering there's only going to be 19 episodes in this, the show's most likely final season. Nevertheless, I am intrigued by Samuel and his cronies, and still curious to see what their plans are.

HeadSylar is amusing, and I enjoyed his duping of Matt. He may not have his body, but he can still cause plenty of trouble! And the continued low levels of stupidity remain a pleasant surprise after last year.

Oh yeah, and it's always nice to see Louise Fletcher, even if she was a tad wasted in the bit part of the deaf woman's doctor. As for the deaf woman herself, I have no strong feelings about her yet one way or the other. I'll give her some time to make an impression.

Does anyone have any idea how many episodes will be in this season, or at least in this "volume". (We got two last year, so will now forever be at least one number off when talking "volumes" vs. "seasons".)

The website http://www.herosite.net/ lists up to 12 episodes so far, saying that #12 will be the last of the year before a "winter hiatus".

Has anyone heard how many there'll be in all?

I believe it was for 20 episodes, then we get the Olympics, then Chuck takes over the slot from March to the summer.

I cannot believe that someone hasn't pointed out the new deaf lady has the powers of a long standing Marvel character. She's Deaf Dazzler!

I think she's the only one who can see the colors she generates.

Nobody else noticed them.

How in the world this power is going to be of any use I just don't understand.

She sees sudden, sharp changes in sound. Okay. And this helps with what?

The odd thing is that she seemed to immediately get into the playing, and created a beautiful piece of music right there on the spot. (And weren't her eyes closed half the time too? So what's with that? How could she see the colors?)

Very odd.

Several weeks ago I heard there would be 18 to 20 episodes this season. I know titles upto episode 11 are on the site I go to for Heroes info.

Gave this episode an Excellent. Sylar was creepy.

I think Nurse Ratchet gave us a better idea of what her real power is going to be; Synesthesia. "Seeing sound" is just the initial manifestion of the power. I'm willing to bet once she gets a handle on it, she can replace any sense with another sense. "Feel taste," "smell sight," and etc.

Now they just have to introduce a villain who can control your senses (case blindness, deafness, etc.) and voila... instant counter.

Just my initial instinct. Plus the fact that the writers aren't the most creative sort, so you kinda have to go with the obvious.

Has NO ONE gotten the Lydia joke?

No Groucho Marx fans here?
Well, I'm not 80 years old, so sorry, Groucho Marx is a little bit before my time.

:cardie:
Didn't know you had to be a certain age to enjoy the classics.

Do yourself a favor and rent Duck Soup, Monkey Business, Horse Feathers... You'll probably laugh your ass off. Duck Soup is my personal fave.

Loved it... retchin' Gretchen is a bit creepy, though.

And that touch after the virtuoso performance where the crowd is applauding and cheering, with no sound, to reflect how she sees it.

Also liked the Sylar reverse mind control trick, though I should've seen it coming a mile away.

Excellent from me.
