So is Papa Petrelli actually taking people's powers or just making them forget they have them? Was the interrupted mind wipe of Hiro the reason he's a 10 yo?

He's gaining those abilities as he takes them so I don't think he's just removing memories.

He clearly didn't just make Adam Monroe forget.

Wow, I've now officially stopped caring about the show. Just like with Lost and BSG. What is it about serialized TV that can't work for more than 2 seasons?

Agreed completely.

Serialized TV can work for more than 2 seasons. OTOH, Heroes has failed miserably since the first season in keeping my attention with storylines I care about, and has neutered every single one of its characters with ridiculous out-of-character actions and bad retconning. It's amazing how efficiently the writers have managed to do that.

African-Isaac told Hiro if he was awakened prematurely, he'd remain stuck in his dream. Perhaps at the point Arthur showed up Hiro's dream had shifted to his own childhood which was when Ando forced him to wake up. It's entirely possible that it's not due to anything Arthur has done at all.

Touching bases with the series since I expect Bryan Fuller to return.

I rated it below average because every minute with Peter and Claire centerstage was a total waste, because the show itself (via Nathan) had to comment on how Arthur Petrelli is repeating the first season plot (I suppose they could mix it up yet, but the comment really took me out of that whole storyline,) and because Hiro wasn't too different from his regular self.

Didn't rate it poor because Matt, Nathan, Angela and Gabriel were interesting to watch. I understand why Daphne would love Matt---he's lovable. Contrary to most, I don't understand why Matt would love Daphne, except it's in the script. Being betrayed by a woman again?
That has to take more time to get over. Gabriel and Elle segued into Gabriel/Elle too quick, but the scene wasn't insanely off, I think.

The real fun is if they both fall off of the wagon again. That'd be a neat, natural-born-killers kind of thing. Especially because I can honestly see Elle going first--Sylar was a relatively normal guy until his powers kicked in and his various psychosii stormed to the forefront of his brain. Elle, from what we know, was raised in a skinner-box and prodded with electrodes most of her life. Sylar kills and doesn't let himself care, Elle kills and doesn't know she should. "Hey, I said no mayo on my burger! *ZAP*" "...Elle, why did you- -you can't just shock the skin off of that man!" "Whoozle whuzzle?"

I dont know if youre just joking, but I actually think that would be kinda cool. It would make Elle/Sylar more tolerable for me.

So...does anybody have any idea yet why Arthur thinks that giving half the planet powers would save the world...? Or does he really want the world destroyed...?

Food.

It seems that he eats powers. And now that he has Adam Monroe/Kensei's regenerative immortality, he is going to get hungry. The guy should have had a long, satisfying belch after eating Peter's power. Which, aside from the desert of Maya's power, seems to have sated his own hunger for the time being. And if the coming eclipse is going to take away those powers (which makes no sense really... Why didn't the first eclipse affect the older generations then? Unless the current gen is all artificial?), he will need to jump start their evolutionary status or starve in the future.

* Daphene loves Matt, she barely knows him

* Ellie now forgives Sylar so easy.

Indeed. I think these two story lines were being developed well, and I could very much accept these outcomes, but IMO they happened way too soon! You could see Daphne was falling for Matt, and I was loving everything in the inside-mama-Patrelli's-mental-prison thing, UP UNTIL she dropped the L-bomb... WAY too soon...

Also, I could buy that Elle would forgive Sylar... a lil too soon, but it's believable. After Sylar broke down the logic of her father really was a jerk and was just using her, and making the analogy to how he thinks his mother was using him... I could buy it. But still, I wanted more development.

The entire eclipse thing came out of fucking NOWHERE to me. It was all of a sudden on the screen in Mohinder's clusterfuck lab like "Oh, we both like something we've never talked about." Whatever.

Nathan's cool. Ali... I hate all her characters. Ice bitch is no different.

Hiro... I agree with most of what you guys said; he was acting childish already, and now to make him a 10 year old kid I think makes him officially annoying. I was liking optimistic Hiro, but... fack. And wassup with Ando doing the dragon ball superman flying punch???

I didn't mind Claire's actions this episode, as much as her angsty attitude has upset me in the previous episodes. Mostly because Peter put her ass in check when he explained why he was trying to "keep her innocent." I liked that alot. But what the hell is Peter gonna do now? He's useless!

But anyways, I've rated the last 3 or so episodes "Excellent", but this week I'm giving an Average.

Hooray for Parkman/Daphne and Sylar/Elle.
And hooray for assembling the teams at the end of the episode.

Nathan's character just seems to sort of be there, like he's being jerked around by the plot necessities. Some storylines are moving way too slow, but his is moving way too fast now.

Yeah, they could be doing so much more with Nathan but his character always seems to be stagnent.

I'd so laugh if it turned out to be of all people Molly.

I thought they would reveal Ando is the catalyst.

Meh...they completely neutered Sylar and turned Hiro into a smacktard, what the fuck seems to be the proper phrase for all of this insanity. The writers have all gone cross-eyed this season. Heh, this has Loeb's grubby prints all over it. First he fucks up the Incredible Hulk comics with the Red Hulk bullshit, now he's shit on this show...wow, he's on a roll.

the Elle/Sylar lovey dovey stuff was just...no.
Agreed. That and the Matt/Daphne stuff was written with a sledgehammer.

Back to saving the cheerleader?
Save the Catalyst...Save the World. Doesn't quite have the same ring to it....Anyway, I saw it coming back in the first episode when Kaito said that the "chosen one" was of pure blood. Though it's possible, as some have indicated, that Claire is a red herring....

Am I the only one who thinks that Little!Hiro is a ridicuously neat and hilarious idea?
I can understand the frustration about seeing his character regress rather than grow...but it did play to Oka's strengths. Hiro hasn't been so fun in quite awhile.

Sylar more or less just having Peter's power, and accessing it in an f'd up way for the last two years? I think that makes a lot of sense.
If that is the case, then either he has two distinct powers...or his ability to see how things work is the first power that he absorbed. From his (adoptive?) father, perhaps? He did seem to have an empathy for his father the watchmaker.

Soooo, who's drawing 9th Wonders now that Isaac is dead? African-Isaac?
I was wondering that myself. They made a point of showing Isaac shipping the last issue in Season 1, and it dealt with the events at Kirby Plaza, IIRC.
