BTW, here's another indication that Sylar's claim that he never wanted to kill anyone is bullshit...

In Season 2, Sylar was stripped of his powers by the virus, and presumbly, "the hunger" that went along with it. Yet he still proceeded to murder Cameron the Illusionist and crack her head open to attempt to take her powers. He then went on to murder that guy (who had no powers) in because he threatened to turn in The Wonder Twins. This set him up for being alone with The Wonder Twins, with a big ass smile on his face. Later on, he killed Alexandro days after he told him he would kill him. Then after shooting Maya, again in cold blood, he declares "look what you made me do" as if the whole thing was a joke for his amusement.

But I guess the writers are correct. Sylar never wanted to become a killer.

My Tivo stopped recording a few seconds early. I saw everyone come out at Pinehurst and Arthur is there with white eyes, sketching something and that's where it stopped. Did they show what he was sketching? If so, what was it? Was there anything else? What did the coming attractions show? How frustrating!

He was sketching the eclipse. Then he said, "It's coming." That's it.

When the eclipse hits, everyone loses their powers. Claire gets shot.

I'm really tired since I had a long day. I'll just say I enjoyed the episode.

Sylar and Elle are perfect for each other. Both are insane.

that would almost be interesting for ando... I can see it now him exclaiming... I not only have powers... I am the power.... i turn all the other powers on or off... having realized his dream... meets sylar and sylar takes power syler style...

Ando discovers he's the one.

Cue the music...

You've got the touch
You've got the power

After all is said and done
You've never walked, you've never run,
You're a winner

I loved it when Hiro pretty much summed up the thoughts of every comic book fan over the last two years. Exactly, Hiro, exactly.

Is it true that the initial concept for the show is that each subsequent season was going to focus on new characters/actors? I vaguely recall reading something to that effect back when the show started. If the original idea is that most of the characters would die at the end of season one (really the only way to adequately pay-off what they were building), and the writers and/or network punted on that idea due to the unexpected success of the show, it would explain why no one seems to know what to do with any of the characters since season one. Just a thought.

That was pretty much the high point of the episode. Actually it was the high point of the season.

Wait ... you mean all those things have really happened? A red Hulk? I'm not into comics and such, so I thought that what Hiro said would indicate a parallel universe or something.

There goes my theory ...

Captain America (Steve Rogers) was shot and killed by Crossbones and a mind-controlled Sharon Carter in Captain American #25. He remains dead but his mantle has been taken up by Bucky Barnes.

Spider-Man revealed his true identity in a press conference in Civil War #2. This reveal has now been undone by the events of One More Day and Brand New Day. Nobody knows who Spider-Man really is now, not even the people who already knew.

The Hulk himself, as in Bruce Banner, is not actually red. A new, red skinned and decidedly more villainous Hulk appeared after the events of World War Hulk where Banner was captured and locked away by S.H.I.E.L.D.

The identity of this new Hulk is yet to be revealed but it is clear that General Ross and Doc Samson are behind his creation.

The Red Hulk might be a bit of a dig at Heroes writer/producer Jeph Loeb who currently also writes Hulk (the series where Red Hulk is featured) for Marvel Comics.

yeah. I think they were going to keep a couple characters from season 1 around & fill out the rest of the cast with new characters. I dont know if it would have made the show better though, b/c many of the new characters from season 2 were terrible.

Here's another thought: Hiro's sister . We only saw her briefly, but she just has to be involved somehow. Just what this show needs, another character.

There's also Nathan's other children, his two boys that are living with his forgotten wife that haven't been seen since just before Nathan shaved his beard last season. But they could be too young to have been a factor in the formula.

There's also Nathan's other children, his two boys that are living with his forgotten wife that haven't been seen since just before Nathan shaved his beard last season.

As viewers we understand they were surplus to requirements.

But "in universe" this amusingly means that Nathan was shot. Died. Rose from the dead. Got a job as a Senator. Yet he didn't get so much as a phone call from his wife or kids acknowledging any of this.

That's a bad divorce.

^ Nathan's family is now hanging out with all the people who aren't around when big superpowered stuff goes down in public in broad daylight.
