Hayden cannot play a vindictive nasty person...

No shit. Cristine Rose she is not. :shifty: I just laugh when she tries to act tough.

I think the writers are keeping their options open as to whether or not Sylar can go good or go bad. Nathan better watch his back. His newest brother has more in common with Peter now than he does. I can't believe Peter offed Nathan in the future. :wtf: I sense Peter and Nathan angst to come.

Nathan and Tracy are hot. I don't know why they put her in those ugly ass glasses in the future. We could have gotten the idea she was first lady by her standing beside the president at a press conference. You know, if Nathan is ever pissed off at his political enemies, he could just send Tracy to get friendly with them and separate them from their little special guys.

I have to vote Average on this one. Future Sylar and the events surrounding him were the definite highlight of the episodes. Everything else was inconsistent I thought. Feels like it lost its overall theme with this episode.

-Mohinder Suresh is Spider-Moron. I care the least about his storyline although what he did to that guy was pretty cool. It seems him, Peter, Claire, and Hiro are all in a competition for American Imbicile.

-I can't exactly accept Daphne as the future wife of Parkman when she was just introduced two episodes ago.

-Evil Claire can't act to save her life. She was awful.

-Don't know how Nathan could ever accept Peter again. Then again, Nathan wanted to nuke the city in Season 1 so neither Petrelli boys are saints.

-Peter: "Why can't you do it?"
-Evil Peter: "Because I'm too stupid!"

-Nathan/Tracy were pretty good and I think Ali Larter's finally got a good character/storyline here.

-"You son of a..." Nice return for Adam here.

Next week's episode looks cool.

Anyone notice the rattlesnake sound during Mohinder's scenes? I guess I was right- he was becoming some kind of reptile but why keep him in the dark in the future? Maybe the make-up didnt go t0o well...

oh I also loled during that one early scene where Present Pete & Future Pete kept mumbling back & forth to each other about what was going on.
FP-Duh!
PP-Duh?
FP-Duuuuh!
PP-Duuuuh!!!

Maybe they just haven't finalized his look yet, or maybe they didn't want to spend the money on the makeup yet.

Why did Peter need Sylar's ability?
I think I missed this too. How can getting Sylar's ability to learn how things work save the world? Is it what he needs to figure out the right formula and/or how to counteract it?

Did Future!Mo tell him this stuff? 'Cause I tend to tune out when he talks.

-Evil Claire can't act to save her life.

You can put black dye in a cheerleader's hair, but it's still a cheerleader. In seriousness, it may have gone over better if they just left Claire as, you know, Claire. Better to play off of how we know such a girl would really react (neurotic and angsty) in situations like what she may have gone through. It may be annoying, but at least it'd be genuine.

As for Sylar, I think having him turn too good (even if he is a victim) would be a massive cop-out. He's Sylar! That whole "scorpion and the frog" thing comes to mind.

This is one of the problems I have with Heroes' whole "future self" thing. Yes, people change. But I think that change should seem consistent. You have to imagine the character actually reacting that way. Imagine them becoming this other person.

I'm jumping on the Nathan and Tracy bandwagon. :techman: Let's just hope they don't screw it up.

Is Maya just there to be a victim and whine and screw Slo-Mo?

And why does everybody in "teh future" have to wear black? I mean, everybody (except Pleasantville Sylar). I wonder if there's a message in that (probably not).

^I actually thought Hayden did a much better job of playing evil Claire this time then in the first episode, but the writers still should avoid writing anything for the character ever again.

I thought this episode was fairly enjoyable, though Parkman's story is starting to get boring and I hope they get him out of Africa soon. Seeing good Sylar was easily the best part of the show. I'm also sad that Hiro's storyline is so serious this season, I was hoping for a return to the fun storyline of the first season but I guess that isn't going to happen.

One thing I don't like is the idea that Sylar's murderous streak was caused strictly by his powers. That's too much of a cop-out.

So here are some random comments:

Does the Future know when someone is painting it? Is that why everybody paints THE EXACT SAME PICTURE?!

I do not understand the motivations for what anyone is doing. The future is retarded. Everybody is pissed. Apparently we didn't learn from last year's "End of the World Drug," so now instead of killing everybody, we're going to make everybody a mutant. Good plan, guys, really.

Mohinder is the dumbest character in the history of TV. He needs to get killed off this season.

There's a bunch of crazy time travel shit happening, and for some reason Hiro isn't even involved. He's too busy getting into cat fights with his girlfriend Ando.

I liked Sylar in Season 1, but I think it was a bad idea for the story to bring him back. And I think Peter's power is out of control in a way that makes the story really uninteresting. And now that he has Sylar's power too, he's going to be crazy.

Future Sylar's son was named Noah, however, so I'm guessing HRG is going to be dead by the end of this year.

Why did Peter need Sylar's ability?

He probably figures it will help him figure out how to fix the timeline. Sylar's ability to "see how things fit together" would be very helpful in such a pursuit. Future Peter obviously felt as if he had messed up too many times ("killing butterflies") and felt he needed a reset button. Sylar's powers would also give his past self an extra edge.

It's still up in the air whether future Peter ever had Sylar's powers. My guess is that he never got access.

Anyone find it funny sylar named his son Noah? or maybe Noah will encounter a person who can deage people! The haitian wipes young Noah's mind and sylar makes him his son

So future Peter has died, future Hiro has died, future Haitian has died, future Noah has died, future Hana has died, future Daphne has died.. is future Sylar dead? Who hasn't died in a future alternate timeline that's still on the show?

Seeing as Sylar went nuclear today, it would seem that the speculation that he had lost all powers but intuitive aptitude and telekinesis is unture.

I thought it was an okay episode. Not much of a fan of the future scenes since they aren't going to happen and Claire wasn't that great in them. Hiro and Ando didn't get anything to do really.

Those worried that Peter could never permanently die will be happy that Future Peter was offed rather easily in the opening minutes. I wished that they had saved the nuclear explosion as an season ending scene or whatever but it was cool seeing Sylar go boom. I was really surprised that Future Claire's gang worked for the government since I believed for nearly the episode episode that they were bad guys. The highlights of the episode were definately Future Sylar and Adam at the very end.

Thinking it over it was more of an Average but I gave it an Above Average anyway for the ending and what it could mean for season 3.

Lol, I'm surprised anybody's even trying to figure this shit out anymore. The season started out strong, but I think the writers have gotten WAY too carried away with the plot twists and character revelations and jumping around in time on this show.

Everything just feels completely random now, and the show doesn't feel grounded at all. I mean, the characters were never terribly complex to BEGIN with, but now they're nothing but blank ciphers. Or like pawns being moved around on a chess board. I just have a hard time giving a shit what happens to them anymore.

So future Peter has died, future Hiro has died, future Haitian has died, future Noah has died, future Hana has died, future Daphne has died.. is future Sylar dead? Who hasn't died in a future alternate timeline that's still on the show?

I think only both Future Matts are still living. No clue on whether Future Sylar is dead or was killed by Present Peter. Dammit writers! No more time travel please!:scream:
