I tend to think that an officers job is to tell 80 bastards to exterminate all life in a specific direction, if the opposition doesn't believe the sincere attempt at diplomacy made by that officer.

The larger the weapon the officer carries, to me at least, the more insecure they seem.

Brigadier Lethbridge Stewart used to fight Dalek invasions armed personally with nothing but a cheer leader baton to point at where he wanted the 50 blokes behind him to target their bazooka vollies and mortar shells.

Oh I so love this. Bella could not face down a bunch of Borg drones, she couldn't even stand up to her own vampire boyfriend for pete's sake! Hermione would just hit them with a reducto spell and they'd be nothing with a pile of dust, but I don't think that she could blindly go into some of the situations that Janeway did.

Leia? Well, considering that the weapons they had in Wars were primarily energy weapons (from my recollection, I am by no means a Star Wars expert) aside from lightsabers (which could probably reduce the Borg in a few seconds), so unless Leia had a lightsaber, I don't think that the odds would be particularly in her favour.

I think that Janeway's advantage came in her boldness, albeit it sometimes came across as arrogance or near-insanity, but it did get the job done.

Basically, they all kick ass...except Bella.
