I'm forever holding out for hope for Elsie.Still no sign of Elsie that I noticed.
He's a contrarian, so he has tell us how he hates things we like.^ Why'd you have to go and poison the well by smacktalking Discovery?
Yup it's playing on the pseudo-intellectual level, while Discovery isn't pretentious - it's an action show with some on-the-nose real world commentary.I like both shows, but Westworld is playing on a whole different level than DISCO
I love Star Trek and Discovery has been great, but again it's not playing at the same level as Westworld, The Handmaid's Tale or to step outside the genre, Breaking Bad. I think DISCO can be favorably compared to Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead, though.Yup it's playing on the pseudo-intellectual level, while Discovery isn't pretentious - it's an action show with some on-the-nose real world commentary.

I do have to laugh at accusing another show being "pseudo-intellectual" and "pretentious" when talking of Star Trek. Roddenberry's bread and butter in his and Trek's lean years was made from pseudo-intellectualism and pretension built around Star Trek. And it had a habit of slipping into the work before and after those lean years
Oh, we're comparing DISCO to this? Sorry Star Trek, WW knocks out DISCO in round one. If DISCO wants a rematch, it better train hard.
It's true. Given that it doesn't do artsy crap, a snail's pace, and an idea to tell people that it's being profound while saying absolutely nothing at all, I'd say it's far more enjoyable. If you like 6 hour long arthouse flicks, you are the audience that will enjoy Westworld the most.STD doesn't even have the potential to compete. I mean, the idea is a joke.
Since there is a long wait until the final season of Game of Thrones this is welcome news. I very much look forward to watching season 2 of WW. And this time we don't have to debate the William/Man of Black stuff. I rather they stay away from multiple time frames this time.
