Did they already cast Dady Wo Fat?
I thought George Takei would be a natural to play Mark Decascos' dad.
That never crossed my mind - but I like it.
Since they're doing bizarre dream sequences now, they should simultaneously have Chin and Kono call Takei "uncle," Max mistakenly call him "dad" (from when he played Hiro's father on Heroes) and Duke wonder why he changed his name from Nathaniel Blake (the character he played on the old Hawaii Five-0) while he asks why Duke changed his name from Wade. Then have Hurley come in and say "Sulu?"
That montage was fun - showing all the actresses they brought onto the show and ended up jettisoning for one reason or another.
As soon as it was somewhat clear they were going to partner Steve up with the bartender's daughter/lawyer I said to my wife "I wonder what will happen to her."

Steve's real love interest in the show is Danno. 
I wonder how long this latest one will last! I've liked them all but there's never a ton of chemistry with Steve.
I thought the hundredth episode was ok. I agree with Locutus that it wasn't the best way to send off Wo Fat. I always thought him kidnapping and torturing Steve never made any sense, either in this episode or the North Korea one. It always goes the same way:
Wo Fat: Tell me where X is!
Steve: I don't know!
Wo Fat: I think you know. I'm going to torture you some more!
Steve: You're not going to break me, I'm a Navy SEAL, but besides, I DON'T KNOW!!
Wo Fat never wised up. He would have been smarter to kidnap Danno and tell Steve he was going to kill him if he didn't give up the info. That probably would have been more effective… IF Steve had known the info Wo Fat wanted. But he never did!!!
Anyways, that's just my logic gripe. I thought the hallucinations were interesting, with Steve imagining his father had never been killed by Hesse and that Danny loved Hawaii. The scene where Danny shot Hesse twice in the legs could have only come from Steve McGarrett's brain!
The montage was super cheesy but it was the hundredth episode so eh, it was fine. It was kind of cool to see those shots again. I really do love the show, even if it's outlandish and crazy a lot of the time. The characters are great.

What explaining does Steve have to do? Wo Fat was torturing him. He was a mad dog that had to be put down.
I kind of wish the show would have the guts to make his mom a full out villain. I doubt they will after the arc she had when she first showed up, but some of the things she's done have been super questionable, and Steve has definitely suffered because of them. It would be nice to at least have a confrontation between the two.

Well, Doris served as de facto parent to Wo Fat, so there may be some feelings of, "Where did I go wrong?" And obviously he (Wo Fat) was an important part of her life. It would be a shame if they just ignored that.
Some links were posted in the Season 4 thread but it seems there were fans out that didn't like her and where giving her a hard time over her character.
That's a shame.
I don't suppose Laren German would come back if they get another season...
Yeah, I guess she got into fights with fans on Twitter, but who knows if that's why they wrote her out. I liked her character a lot, but felt she worked much better as a recurring character, when she was in the Navy vs. being in Five-0.
Five-0 seems to work best when it's just the four main characters, though it'll be interesting to see how Grover works out. So far, so good, though again, having him heading up the SWAT team seemed a better use for his character.
Do we know if they wanted to write her out or she wanted to leave?
From what I heard, it was the show's decision to write her out. They didn't say too much about it, but did make mention that they'd love to have her guest star at some point. I guess we'll see if that happens or not. It would be nice to know if she at least makes it out of Afghanistan alive!
They've made Hawaii Five 0 much more diverse ethnically, though it would be nice in Steve wasn't Mr. Perfect. Ethnic people don't get much screentime.
