Have you put on weight over the winter?

I have stayed about the same weight, gaining about 3 pounds, Shoveling storm after storm has helped, would probably have been 5-8 if not...yeah too many yummy treats somehow made it from the supermarket to my house...

Ever since I've changed my diet I hover between 155 and 160 pounds without fail, which is slightly overweight for my height. I could probably get down to 140 if I exercised regularly. I weighed 135 in high school and was the same height. I'm 5'7".

A couple of kilos. Too many desserts. That will have to stop.

Still, that's not too bad. Easily correctable. :techman:

As I was reminded of today when I was out running, the really scary part of the year is only coming up for me. Living in the South has been really tough on me, and the winter months are my favorite time to run outdoors. Today, it was in the high 60's...which tells me that summer is on the way, and I'll soon be confined to the treadmill in my basement, with only the occasional foray into outdoor running - usually at night. Bleh!

Actually, I've lost wheight. But that's because I'm losing weight ever since last summer. Not by a diet, but I've starting eating differently, rarely touch any lemonade (mostly dring water, now) and so forth. I can even eat some of the "naughty" stuff, chocolate, pork, cookies, pasta, all that stuff (not everyday, of course, but often enough). Don't ask me how, it just works, and I've lost 44 pounds since I started.

I have stayed exactly the same. Right down to the exact gram.

You disturb me...

My weight is pretty much the same too. It did go up by maybe a couple of pounds between the start of the colder weather and the Christmas period, but then I cut back on the desserts, and went on holiday, so it fell away.

One thing about having an extensive tailored wardrobe; you quickly notice when you start to gain weight AND it's a powerful motivator to shred the fat to keep everything fitting well. :D

It will be the white choc chip cookies that will be the hardest to give up, they have been my dear friends these months. :wah:

Winter has succeeded in making me exercise less! How about we do a swap for the summer? I'd like a real summer, you obviously don't mind winters, which is what we've had year round. Very sweet deal, I reckon. :p

I didn't know you lived in the south! How warm does it get where you are?

I always put on weight during the winter because I do most of my exercise outside, and it's at best inconvenient, at worst dangerous to do that in winter. I find exercising on bikes and stuff inside so dull!

I wish I could exercise outside. I'd love to ride a bike along the lake or something like that but my allergies prevent me from doing so. One gets used to the gym if there are no other options!

Don't know for sure, but I probably have gained weight over the winter. Last year I gave up soda, but that hasn't seemed to help with my weight. I'm going to try to drastically cut back on my fruit juice consumption.
