Has Anyone Ever Regretted Getting a Cat?

I think I'm slightly smitten already. I had my husband do a video chat with me from work today so I could see the kitten.

Also, we're trying to teach him certain things (don't climb on bakers racks and knock all the plates down, don't launch yourself at people's heads, etc.) but I have the sneaking suspicion that he's training us.

To anybody who has ever had a white cat:

The white homeless kitty I have brought up before here, has been since about June I'd say, turning colors. She used to be nearly pure white when I first met her about two years ago. But this year a spot on her started appearing and it's taking her over.

IS this just a seasonal adult kitty thing? Will it fade as summer comes?

I've only had one white cat; she turned out to be deaf. She got out one day and was killed by a car.

I'm sure cats' coat's change as they age ~ my black cat is going brown, it's not as special as it was

I came home today after being gone for 6 days. I have a bunch of notes from the cat sitter about how cute and sweet my kitties are. The last one says "I love your kitties!"

I have a cat that will eat cheese, not that we feed it to her, she just steals it. But ham being a meat is probably okay for them.

I had a cat with a chocolate addiction. Ham's pretty normal in comparison.

The same cat was also born with a black spot on her head which vanished as she grew older. She was totally white when she was three years old.
