Not that great quality, but unless I'm much mistaken this is our first look at footage from the next (and last) two movies.

Link.

Interesting... I can't quite make out the lettering on what I think is a grave marker? :wtf:

It says Ignotus Perevell - the brother from whom Harry (eventually) inherited the invisibility cloak.

I like Hermione's red dress - reckon that means they're including the wedding afterall?

I wish I could make out the dialogue, but oh well. I can't wait for these two films. The Deathly Hallows is easily my favorite book of the series. :D

Oddly enough, I'm also really excited for these films, but in my case it's because DH was far and away my least favourite book of the series. I'm really looking forward to seeing if the movies can do something new with the story that will leave me with fonder feelings for it.

I'm pretty much in agreement.

For me it was because, while JKR is probably one of the best storytellers of the last century, she's an average writer. With Hollows she stopped being a storyteller and tried to be a writer. And it just didn't work.

Also, HBP was the first film since the original that I bothered to care about. I think they finally figured out how to do it and hope they can continue the trend.

Most of the pivotal and major sequences from the novel (i.e. the wedding) are being included in the film(s), even if said sequences include characters who were previously not introduced/featured in the films, and even if they involve plot points which were omitted from previous films.

Fuzzy and blurry though it is, it certainly looks like an improvement over Half Blood Prince...

The first half of the DH was pretty slow, the end of the book was pretty epic.

So I expect the first half of the movies to follow the same pattern since they are adapting the book...

Despite the bad quality...it's looking awesome!

The first part of DH was a trifle boring (camping trip and not a heck of a lot of action) but part two should be epic!

I hope that the filmmakers can find a way to express the frustration and aimlessness that Harry and Hermione have through those camping scenes prior to the incident at Godric's Hollow at Christmas.

Yeah, it was actionless but it really drew me into thinking, "How in the world are they going to figure this out?" I felt somewhat as "clueless" as they did, which I personally thought was quite effective...

I partially disagree. I thought Rowling's prose was average at best for the first three books, but it began to improve in The Goblet of Fire. I have no problem with the writing in The Deathly Hallows and I think the storywriting is smashing. But different strokes for different folks. *shrug*

Grrr, it's been deleted. :scream:

Probably not surprising but I'd like to have seen it first. Oh, well. I highly doubt it'll be the only leaked material from the movies.

It's been awhile since I read DH, so I don't remember specifics, but I remember Rowling using the exact same "dramatic trick" several times over in the story. It felt like she was either trying too hard or not hard enough.
