Harry Kim vs Geordie vs Barclay on the dating game

Okay well Barclay is out. Immediately.

Kim under pressure is not a pretty sight, gets very nervous. Geordie can fall into the trying too hard category. Kim sounds younger and gumpier. I think Geordie would win.

OH yes!

Personally I would pick Harry Kim. But in the game show format I might not. I would really hate to be trapped for an evening with Geordie.

Well if she is into rescue dates, have at it.

Yes she matters but really isn't it about how well these three would perform in the format of the show? Kim's potential to flub it is high. But it's true some might find that sweet.

In the "Blind Date" (no pun intended) format, then I'd think Geordi would come out ahead.

Looking at the kind of dates that lay ahead would be rather awkward. Barclay would either never make eye-contact or would take you to the holodeck for an elaborate programme and wind up ignoring you. Kim would either take you to meet his parents or bore you to tears with talk of how he's in charge of the night watch or how great he was at the Academy. Geordi may try overly hard, but I appreciate some effort.

Going down the list of known single females:

Contestant | Pick____________________________________
Sonya Gomez | Geordi (She seems starstruck around him)
Ro Lauren | Geordi (He saved her life)
Alynna Nechayev | Harry (She'd own him)
Samantha Wildman | Geordi (She'd appreciate his efforts)
Tal Celes | Harry (they've been through tough times together)

If we're talking about The Dating Game, why is the picture of Chuck Barris hosting The Gong Show?

Answer: The Dating Game was a Chuck Barris production.

Chuck also created The Newlywed Game. During the 60s, he was pretty well known as creator of some of the raunchiest low-brow game shows ever. But people watched them, which is all that mattered.

Speaking of raunchy, I wonder if Barclay used a holographic Seven in his relaxation programs.

Seems like all that awkwardness didn't need to be there - in any of them, considering all the experience they could have been having with holographic women. I never got the impression that sex on holodecks was discouraged; only that replicating an actual person was verboten. How many fake dates/romps would you need to have before you should be able to speak confidently with a real woman?

As an aside, I usually find it kinda creepy when people are awkward around the opposite/same sex, because it implies they're off in their minds thinking about sex when often times, they shouldn't be.

Anyway, my vote is for Harry - unless it was Nth Degree Barclay... then I'd pick Geordi.

Things would get awkward on the date with Geordi when the woman realizes Geordi is basically wearing a naked cam on his face at all times.

I think Kim would win because he can at least somewhat do the ice breakers

In which episode was Geordie turned down on the holodeck by a holochick?
