Guest Characters You'd Like To See Return

Jenny would be an obvious one for me, Lady Christina as well, I thought she was the best thing about "Planet of the Dead" and Michelle Ryan did a tremendous job with her. Idris as well...so basically what Allyn stated LOL.

I think it would be easy to bring Idris back -- the Doctor melted the Flesh Amy, the Flesh goo seeped into the TARDIS circuitry, and the TARDIS' consciousness could then use the Flesh to create a physical avatar of itself.

er...wasn't Harriet Jones exterminated?

You need to go back and watch Christmas Invasion. At the end she's on tv trying to convince reporters that, healthwise, she's fine and that the apparently pending vote of NO CONFIDENCE is unnecessary.

YOU need to go back (forward) and watch Journey's End where she uses the Subwave network to contact the "Children of Time" and gets exterminated by the Daleks (who know who she is) buying time for the Doctor and friends.

Grace Holloway or Change Lee would be nice (anything to bring more completeness to #8's tenure), but I guess the BBC doesn't own the rights too them (which kinda puzzles me).

While probably not portrayed by Carol Ann Ford, I still expect Susan to show up again sooner or later.

I would like Omega back. The way the Master/Missy is portrayed now is more like crazy Omega than the Moriarity-type that Delgado was.

I would love to see the fates of Peri and Ace.

And as I said in my other thread, I want Osgood to NOT BE dead!!!!

Peri died. The Time Lords were just trying to shuch the blame for pulling 6 out and letting it happen. (My head cannon anyway)

Both Daphne Ashbrook & Yee Jee Tso have done work for the Doctor Who Big Finish audios-although not as Grace and Chang. I think Grace did return in one of the comics or novels, not sure which one.

I guess the rights issue was probably why Grace wasn't mentioned in the Doctor's salute to his companions in Night of The Doctor.

Grace appeared in DWM twice and in IDW's Prisoners of Time. It's widely believed that DWM was told not to use Grace again after her second appearance because of rights issues.

I didn't even think of Grace when he was saying the names, probably because she wasn't really a true Companion, whereas the others from the BF audios were ongoing travellers in the TARDIS with him.

And Grace returned in a comic book story, which was fun. I'd like to see her come back on screen as well. Ashbrook still looks good nowadays and would probably be game for a go in the TARDIS.

I think Psy from "Time Heist" would be a great new companion.

And, so long as we're talking about old companions coming back, I definitely think we need to see Susan, Ian, Jamie, & Zoe again. (They could have had Zoe be the mission control person in "Kill the Moon." IIRC, the timeline fits.) "The Day of the Doctor" squandered a perfect opportunity to bring back Romana, Leela, & Commander Maxil.

I figure it has to do with the fact that the 1996 movie was a co-production between the BBC, FOX, & Universal. As a result, Universal has at least partial ownership of any characters that originated in the movie.

I thought of someone from this past season I'd like to see again: Rigsy from Flatline.
In fact, I'd like him to be the next companion after Clara.

Kill The Moon was set in 2049 and Zoey came from the 22nd century. The movie was made by BBC Worldwide, but I don't know who has the rights now.

I don't necessarily want to see them again, but I was wondering what ever happened to the kids that Clara was living with in Season 7. We haven't seen them since "Nightmare in Silver."

^ Their dad probably hired someone else to look after them.

Definitely Craig, Sophie, and Alfie (who is likely a kid by now). It would be interesting to see how Twelve is with him, and he can apologize for not saying hi to Sophie last time.

No, the movie was *not* made by BBC Worldwide.
The BBC has copyright to the Eighth Doctor, but FOX and Universal have co-copyright on Grace and Chang Lee, and it's cost prohibitive to use them.
