Guess Number One's name

From Gene Roddenberry's 1964 pitch document for "Star Trek":

"Number One" was to have an air of mystery. Since questions are more interesting than answers, I'd prefer that they don't give her a name.

A certain mystique, you might say. :shifty:

Since questions are more interesting than answers, I'd prefer that they don't give her a name.

My thought is this is probably how they'll actually go, and never actually give her a name.

I can even see them making a gag out of it, and when ever her name would come up, the character gets interrupted, or some other noise obscures it.

Pike: Commander Saru, Commander Burnham, this is my first officer from the Enterprise, Commander [*RED ALERT SIREN*]
