Oh, that's right, I forgot about both of those.
Clearly I need to watch this fantastic film again.
Like you, I wept a lot during this film and almost all of it was centered around Rocket and his childhood friends. But this scene absolutely wrenched me as well. So damn powerful. Not only that, but when he insisted they needed to save everyone, the Guardians didn't hesitate.
Between the Snap and the Blip, Commander Nebula and Rocket Racoon spent 5 years alone together. Is that special relationship addressed in the movie?
Watch the Guardians' Christmas Special. You'll know the moment when you see it.
(And for anyone doing a rewatch of the Guardians movies before seeing 3, make sure you watch the Christmas Special, too.)
Yeesh. You're a hard one.I’m glad that rabbit creature was killed. That was very creepy looking. It reminded me of that Alice in Wonderland movie.
Wow, that's horrible. First of all Floor was easily one of the most innocent characters in the entire movie, and her death along with Layla and Toofs was absolutely heartbreaking, and wishing a abuse victim dead because of what her abuser did to her is absolutely horrible.I’m glad that rabbit creature was killed. That was very creepy looking. It reminded me of that Alice in Wonderland movie.
There's not really a whole lot I can add until this thread starts breaking off into more specific discussions of the film. Easily the best Marvel entry since Endgame, and in many ways, it surpasses IW/Endgame in emotional depth, character development, and sheer fun. I loved the final moment with Gamora and Peter and the way they were standing during their final words. Rocket's story was so well done I have no words. And all the Guardians had their moment to shine. If this is the type of films we can expect from the DCU going forward then the future is bright.
This interpretation of the High Evolutionary was wonderful. The MCU has been missing a truly evil, scene stealing villain. I would love to see Iwuji return in the role--and given how things are going with Majors, I would have no objections with the MCU changing up the Kang Dynasty plans and making the High Evolutionary as the new villain.
I don't think switching main villains now at this point will work, they have made too many steps in that direction and it's too late.
I agree that it won't happen--my comment was rather saying that I enjoyed Iwuji much more than I enjoyed Majors in Quantumania. His performance in Loki was more interesting--and I wouldn't mind not seeing his Kang again.
