Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

I really enjoyed the film, and my best advice is not to get hung up on whether it is better than the first or not. Much better to ask is it a good movie or not.

I had the most obnoxious ass-hat next to me though. Verbally responding to moments in the film constantly, and a loud "Awww" every damn time Groot was on screen. They walked away with an un-punched stomach without ever realizing the heft of my mercy.

I had a guy like this back in 09 when I was watching Star Trek and after it I felt like they should legalize me having the right to taser people in the balls.

Opening in the Netherlands this week as well, I think today or tomorrow. Kinda busy with moving house, so hopefully I get to see it this weekend.

People who carry on like that in movie theatres need to be exterminated. Not many things piss me off more.

This is why I don't see many movies on opening weekend anymore. I wait a week, then go to a mid-day show on a Tuesday or Wednesday when it'll be me and about 4 other people in the whole theater. Fortunately my work schedule allows this; I know not everyone's does. But it sure makes the movie-going experience a lot better!

Rewiews are up guys. It looks entertaining, although not better than the original one (which was more or less what I expected). Indiewire posted an article about the 5 post-credits scenes. Apparently, they are all related to Guardians 2 itself and some tease Guardians 3, but nothing else.

the reviews are telling. it is mixed at best but still getting a pass score. it just convinces me more that critics are indeed bias to mcu movies.

Well, from my point of view, only Man of Steel can be considered better or alongside of both Thor movies, Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 3 and perhaps Avengers 2 (MCU weakest efforts so far). Maybe they were a bit too harsh when criticizing BvS, but their points were pretty legit. Apart from a general assessment favorable to Marvel films, it is not that they are so mislead with their criticism of DCEU poor efforts...

Or they enjoyed the movie?

Even if there is any bias, it'd only be because of built-up good will by having made several great movies. Maybe DC could try to build up the same good will?

Nah, it's just that critics now expect GOTG to thrill them instead of having no expectations. They KNOW it's a good series now.

Wish X-Men had this kind of courage.

86% on RT is hardly mixed.

read the 86% reviews, it is mixed but gets a pass score to stay fresh.

there is a mcu critical bias. most people have said the first half of the film was terrible and childish and the jokes did not land and the plot is thin. so why is it still getting a pass? if it was an x-men or dc film it will be different.

Just saw it, it is great, you are wrong, deal with it, end of story.

NO it doesn't

Most people - I love when people assume for the majority

You've not seen it right? so how would you know - Reviews generally avoid spoilers so you know nothing about the plot being thin or jokes missing

and

No most critics do not have a bias.

most critics do not have a bias.
Although I agree with everything else you said, are you sure about the last thing? Professional critics are paid. You sure that sometimes they don't receive "incentives"  when reviewing certain films?

Or people liked it?

What? Dales is going on a ridiculously silly rant about how much Marvel sucks? No! That's Impossible!

Play a new tune, this one's getting old.
