Its stupid (from a Todd POV) that the humans would wait until a meeting with him to deploy such a weapon - if it was their intent to betray him. 2 seconds of thought from Todd and surely he'd be thinking "they would complete fools to betray me now".

I think Todd was more worried about what would happen to the wraiths if they no longer needed to feed and took the opportunity to prevent that from happening.

Why wait until now?

He's been onboard with this plan since The Queen. Now he has doubts? Not buying it.

That as IMO the point of his conversation with Keller and I think he always had some doubts about the plan that's why he altered if somewhat in The Queen nad Teyla wasn't going to allow him to get away from the plan she made that pretty clear at the end of The Queen.

What exactly is Teyla gonna do to stop Todd? If I was him, I wouldn't be losing sleep about her 'threat'. She can't play the 'Queen' card again, it would be easy for Todd to expose her ("My highness, I've brought you a human to feed upon....what do you mean your not hungry?")

Even if Teyla (somehow) forced Todd to honour the deal, other Wraith won't be as accommodating. Why have Apples when you can have Farmers? ;)

That's only if Todd can tell the others that Teyla's not a real wraith of course that means letting them of his part in making her their queen so I don't think he'd expose her if she went against him.

WOW, what a great episode!

- It is obvious that one of the negative side effects of the Hyperspace destroying device is that it also interrupts the Stargate network. It must make any Stargate that is activated blow up! That could mean we might see other planets in the next episode blowing up if people activate their gates!!!!!! Whoa, pretty bad side effect there.

- What if these aliens are Furlings!?!?

I loved this ep, it does show that everything else this season has been filler except for the queen episode, which was relevant to the other plot here.

I grade this thing a Kree, cause it deserved it, compared to the rest of the season it was very awesome, I bet the conclusion will be good.

Oh, one more thing, I loved it when McKay actually said to Danny boy on the ice planet: "So what do we do?" the look on his face, he actually didn't know what to do next and was looking to someone else for help rather than him having all the answers, that moment was a great character growth moment for McKay, in that one moment (when you looked at his face) he was looking up to Danny Boy's experience there, was a really neat moment.

;)
He is only in charge because his troops think a queen put him in charge if they find out the truth there a good change he is a dead man.
And Teyla could expose him or pretend to be the queen and have him killed via a video feed so she would not have to put her own life in danger.

Above Average...

A very good 2 parter though far from the best one we ever had, it seemed a little rush at times but overall the plot held well together. Looking forward to seeing more of the alien race who have some fantastic tech and a typical classic kick ass cliffhanger moment for SG.

Good banter between McKay and Daniel and I think its safe to assume to 2nd part will push forward the whole Wraith plot forward and maybe we can get some kind of mini wrap up by season end. Ronan is pissing me off now though I get the feeling, Keller is flattered by his interest but looked likes she did not want to return it.

Loved the little scene with Todd/Keller, where he seemed worried about the future of his race and overall this episode proves that SG-A warrants a 6th season MGM :scream:

Spoilers on who the aliens are

The aliens are the Asgard well atleast a lost tribe just seen a clip of the next ep

I bet the Atlantis gate was not the only one in use at the time so i wonder how many planets will go boom and will we hear about it.

Well this episode was mostly set up but a well one.

A stargate detonation won't destroy a planet right? Just a massive explosion.

Depends how much energy being pumped into I guess, Anubis did a trick that could make a gate destroy a planet so this one would of just taken care of the city and its surroundings.

I bet the ZPM is low after that.

I think they said once that the Stargate exploding under Cheyenne Mountain would take out the state of Colorado and create basically a nuclear winter on the planet, killing all life. So if it can do that much damage underground, imagine what it will do above ground.

ahhhh, now i know why the next episode is titlted the way it is

watch out guys, huge spoiler here, don't look!

I think if they were pumping out episodes like this last season we might not have been cancelled.
.

:techman: INDEED! Look at it this way - If this trend continues, at least SGA will have gone out on top. Personally, I hope the identity of the new aliens are not revealed to quickly. I wouldn't care if their identity was never revealed in the series. It would be a good plot device for a film feature. This episode embodies what SGA was suppose to be about - Unresolved mysteries in a distant galaxy.

Oh crap! never mind.... I just got to the posts above mine....

I thought some of the technology at their base looked familar but I couldn't place it and that would make sense.

Damnit Leia, first you come onto Chewie, then 3PO, then Chewie again - do you have a P.H.D in being a tease?

Good McKay/Jackson chemistry

If this "k3wl new alien threat" turns out to be something conjured up by the Ancients or Replicators in any way, shape or form, heads are gonna roll.

Feels a bit "Return" to me with a bit "First Strike" - since 2-parters call out all the stops and bump up grades a few notches anyway, I'll adjust my "excellent" to a "mid-season cliffhanger above average".

TheInsideMan[/url]]How long until Ronan and Keller are caught banging in the gate-room?

:guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:

Tip for understanding Daniels' mile-a-minute speech patterns: Since I knew this ep would be a Big Thing, I fired up the projector and 5.1 system. Any hi-fi system makes the guy easier to understand - on a standard TV with what, 5W speakers, vocal frequencies just get all murky.

Not to be a show-off, but:

They're only a couple of hundred $ and work great as long as you have a light-colored wall. Far better VFM than this LCD/plasma junk, bigger screen size (almost 150 INCHES, not 30-50), and HD.
