Why wait until now?

He's been onboard with this plan since The Queen. Now he has doubts? Not buying it.

That as IMO the point of his conversation with Keller and I think he always had some doubts about the plan that's why he altered if somewhat in The Queen nad Teyla wasn't going to allow him to get away from the plan she made that pretty clear at the end of The Queen.

What exactly is Teyla gonna do to stop Todd? If I was him, I wouldn't be losing sleep about her 'threat'. She can't play the 'Queen' card again, it would be easy for Todd to expose her ("My highness, I've brought you a human to feed upon....what do you mean your not hungry?")

Even if Teyla (somehow) forced Todd to honour the deal, other Wraith won't be as accommodating. Why have Apples when you can have Farmers? ;)

Well Maybe Todd is thinking with the dwindling food supply maybe just the foot soldiers would have the "software patch" and the higher ups could feast on the humans so that one planet could supply all the needs of the ruling elite wraith while the foot soldiers can go raid farms instead of killing the farmers.

If the Wraith showed up and instead of culling they stole my apples, I would be a grateful Pegasus resident. and may even offer a few bad people for the elites to feast upon!

Either way, I'd be a pissed off Pegasus resident, knowing that a bunch of humans are responsible for:

a) Waking up the Wraith so they can feastupon me

OR

b) Waking up the Wraith so they can feast upon my apples. And fish. ;)

As for the mysterious bad guys, didn't Daniel imply that whoever is in the suits, they can't leave the suits because it would be bad for them?

Been trying to think of a race who would be harmed when exposed to our atmosphere/dimension. So far, I've got Enterprise's Sphere Builders. ;)

I voted Excellent... its close to Kree but I exspect alot for a Kree.

A show which is in its last season, why is it? BECAUSE the show was slacking and has failed to deliver good story arcs and great episodes for close to 2 years now. Season 1 and 2 were the best seasons, 3 was ok and 4 was horrible. 5 was doing better than 4, though its been very boring to say the least othe rthan a fair or average episode here and there.

First Contact was a excellent episode, the kind which they needed to produce on a fairly regular basis:(.
I hate Doctor Jackson and Mckay but this was a great episode. The only flaw to it is the Ronon-Keller-McKay romance triangle arc which is just about as annoying as Telya-Michael "whose you baby daddy" arc.

Above Average. I felt like I was watching a whole different show than the crapfest I've been seeing this season. :rommie: Largely due to the Ancients Robots (or whoever they may be) being depicted with a whole lot more imagination and flair than has been the norm for this series when developing a new alien species.

Todd jumping to the conclusion that the Atlanteans found the gizmo and activated it was fairly dumb. Why would they do that at just the time when their own people are in a situation to be taken hostage? The Wraith have loads of enemies in the Pegasus Galaxy, and any of them could have done it - in fact, could have waited to activate it to screw over the Wraith and Atlanteans at the same time. The Genii would be a more likely suspect just on that basis. Or Laren's gang.

Since they killed off the two best characters, Zelenka and Shep, it's a good thing the show is cancelled. :p

^Actually...

The Travelers are back in part two, Sheppard calls them in to give him and Zelenka a lift.

I have a hunch that spoiler says "they're not really dead." :rommie:

Let's see...emergency teleportation? Trap door through the floor? Both of them were holo-projections/Replicator replicants/evil clones to begin with? It Was All A Dream?

Or Zelenka had a brainwave and moved the shield to surround him and Shep at the last minute? Yeah I like that the best, but I'm willing to play wait & see. ;)

* Yay! Sheppard's dead!!!

One can only hope... though 1) We'll have an O'neill type just pop up in SGU next year, and it would majorly piss off a certain Vorta Fleet Admiral ;)

How many of you have seen the possibly-leaked spoiler for part 2? There are over 17 pages of "OMG cant believe who the new enemy is" on gateworld (though granted, it would = 1 page of talk, 16 pages worth of useless, idiotic, billboard-size sigs :p)

So, who is it?

Anyway, I think that this should have been much earlier into the season. I'm sure they're still in that "WE NEED A CLIFFHANGER FOR MIDSEASON" mode, but honestly, they basically wasted all that time with seemingly meandering episodes.
At the very least, it's better than the last batch of episodes. Although, I still find it interesting that they're basically still separating the teams. I'm just wondering when the whole gang will be together in one shot for more than a few minutes.

I'll bet...

Sheppard and Zelenka made it into a puddle jumper and got a shield up. I know, not much time, but...

I'd be willing to bet that the only thing that blew up ws the force field leaving the stargate intact.

Or, it turns out it didn't happen. Zeleneka actually was successful, and that explosion we saw actually was a nightmare of McKay's as he wet his cot in the cell, after his little rant about destroying a star system few years before.

Thumbs up.

The only points I take away from the episode is that I felt that they made Rodney dumb towards the beginning to show off how awesome Daniel is. It seems like the writers are slavish in their devotion to SG-1 characters sometimes at the expense of other characters.

I don't think Rodney was meant to look dumb just smug and arrogant. He resented the fact that someone was coming to check his work. In his supreme self-confidence, he felt that since he had checked the database and found nothing that there must not be anything to find. He basically tells Daniel as much as when he reminds Daniel that he has already searched the database.

How many of you have seen the possibly-leaked spoiler for part 2?

Not me, I'm proudly spoiler-free! :D

Guesses? Everytime I see the Ancients Robots, I think "Breen!" Furlings would be fannishly cute but sort of pointless.

What I want it to be: the SG-1 gang's evil MU counterparts. Oh please, give us a battle royale between Good Shep and Evil Cam. :rommie: I would take back every bad thing I ever said about Stargate.

Much better episode than other recent ones!

Oh, even if they get a new gate, what happens to the control crystal that allows them to dial Earth - is that gone now, or can it be replicated?
