I rated it an A overall even though my season average is B. Only DS9 would also average a B for me and it would also get an A as a ranking. I base that on what I find enjoyable to watch again. The other three series get B's and C's from me.

Once they started to bring in the Andorians I started to enjoy the show a lot more. Every season had its good points but the final season was very enjoyable because of the familiar Trek races involved. I did think that Archer was a bit weak as a leader though. His crew were often very unprofessional and Trip got away with murder sometimes because he was the captain's pal.

It might have worked better if they had rotated second tier characters and guest stars instead of having 'main' characters for whom they had no real use hanging around doing nothing. That way you introduce a wider range of characters and give the fans a chance to find their own favourites.

Mediocre is a derogatory word, something I'd apply to many things. Not Enterprise... maybe that's just me. You can have a child who performs in an average or below average way... but would you dare say to his/her parent, that they were mediocre I wonder? The two words simply aren't that interchangable.

I voted Excellent, since I thought the show was coming along nicely during it's four year run and I wanted more. Frankly I won't even entertain comparisons with the whole run of TNG/DS9/VOY (lumping in Seasons 5-7). On that level playing field, ENT is no lightweight in the Seasons 1-4 stakes.

I voted D. ENTERPRISE is only bad in comparison to the other Star Trek series. In comparison to everything else on TV, I'd say it's pretty good.

I can't vote either as i gave up on it sometime during the second season. It is also the only incarnation i do not own on dvd, but i do plan on buying it and giving it another try. So, maybe in a few months i will be able to vote....

Like Justtoyourleft, none of the characters left any impression on me. Bluntly, I just don't give a shit about anyone on the ship or what happens to them. Bakula was also the worst possible choice for captain of a starship. Archer has NO presence and often just seems awkward in the role. I watched Broken Bow and then wrote it off. Later I revisited it with In a Mirror, Darkly and my god that didn't help my opinion. And lately I've been watching episodes on Sci-Fi channel. Honestly, I rarely finish an episode anymore. I just don't care enough about these people or what's going on in a given episode, usually. Occasionally, something will be interesting enough to keep me watching, but only occasionally. But even in those cases, I'm interested because of the anomaly or the alien problem or whatever. The character interactions and building scenes ultimately mean nothing to me. I mean, at least on Voyager, I get to hope Neelix gets killed (Meld is a great episode for this, even if it was a hologram). That's more emotional investment than I have in the entire ENT crew. To say nothing of liking Tuvok Tom, the doctor and Seven, and I love DS9 and TNG's casts.

I can't say I've watched every episode of Enterprise, but I've enjoyed what I've watched. It's different, but there's still that Trek optimism behind it.

I went, somewhat reluctantly, with mediocre. I liked this show better than Voyager, but found it often lackluster. Even the fourth season, which I generally loved and just recently rewatched, had some clunkers. But it sure showed the series had promise!

I dearly wish we'd gotten one last season out of this show.

Eh, I thought it was alright, I just plain didn't like any of the characters. I was sitting there watching it and I was falling asleep I was so bored...

It's an FD, which means failing do to cheating.

it was just a mess of retellnig of Star Trek history. If I wanted a redonig of Star Trek I'd watch Star Trek 11.

The first ever Trek related TV show that bored me to tear, and i did try to like it and give it a chance, but it never grew on me, i think my biggest problem with the show is that the characters just did not engage me, they just seemed so Blah for a better word, the only character that seems to have any personality was Phlox.

But that's just me.

It sucked. I could only stomach 4 episodes of it and quit watching. When it plays in reruns I attempt to watch it, but after 5 minutes I turn to something else.

If it was a "reimagining" like the movie and they explained something happened where the future was changed, I could have accepted it more, but I just couldnt wrap my head around the technology being way more advanced than in Kirk's time, yet being set BEFORE Kirk's time.

^The technology wasn't more advanced. They had a (really cool) grappller hook instead of a tractor beam, crappy transporters, no shields, could only reach Warp 5, and used animals in sickbay. I don't even consider the style more futuristic. The 60's style of TOS looks very weird and futuristic to me.
In "In a Mirror, Darkly", TOS's technological superiority is clearly demonstrated as a single Constitution-class starship kicks the Terran Empire's ass.
