It's no secret that this show get's a fair amount of bashing from general Trekkie population.

I doubt that opening this poll in "Enterprise" forum would make much sense, since people over there like the show anyway. What I wan't to know is, what do people who prefer DS9, VOY, TNG & TOS think of ENT, it's crew, the cast, the writing, all that stuff.

I voted Very Good, but would have rather liked to vote just Good. Mediocre sounds so negative to me; I couldn't click that.

Oh, and isn't your poll missing the [E] option?

Went with average/mediocre. The fourth season was all that saved it from a lower rating from me as I actually didn't hate most of the episodes of that season.

Same here. It hangs somewhere between 'mediocre' and 'very good', in a grey area, that undiscovered country from whose bounds no traveller returns... (sorry!)

I voted: very good. It had some room for improvement, but is my second favorite Trek after TOS. I think it's scads better than Voyager and has more heart than TNG (egads!).

I was going to pick "good", but it isn't there. It's not very good, but it's a bit better than mediocre. Out of those choices, I picked mediocre, because it leans that way. Still, very enjoyable at times.

I have to agree with others who said the show was in the middle range. Now, I liked the characters a lot, but they didn't get anything interesting or significant to do until the final two seasons, and by then it was too late to save the series.

I'd heard a rumor that Shran (a Shrandorian) was slated to join the ship's crew, but we never got the chance to see that. Sigh.

It gets a C for average. Could have been much more.

In any case, it was certainly a step up from Voyager which gets a general score of D from me.

I think, in some ways, it's unfair to compare Enterprise with the others since it was cut short just when it was beginning to show some life. All the others got 7 years and I did really like the 4th season. It would have been one of the best if it could keep going. I rated it very good, btw.

Well, TOS only had three seasons (of which the last one wasn't that great). It's often forgotten, but ENT wasn't the only Trek series to get cancelled.
I think it's fair to compare it to the other series. It had 4 seasons and 100 episodes to show what it could do. Compared to other genre shows that's a lot.
But anyway, this thread is about grading ENT on its own rather than comparing it to the other Trek shows.

i have always loved Enterprise. there were a few bumps along the way, a few bad eps, but i always loved watching.

Weak but watchable, for me. The 3rd and fourth seasons were a vast improvement, but even that felt like too little, too late. I actually can't believe people prefer ENT to Voyager. I think Voyager came out looking OK after ENT showed up.

I cannot grade it, because I have seen only handful of random episodes. However, the episodes I have seen have not encouraged me to see the whole series. I just don't feel it.
