Good time travel movies?

I haven't watched the original Butterfly Effect in ages, but I do remember that I thought it was decent. What about the sequel? Who here has seen Butterfly Effect 2 and is it worth 99 cents?

Also what are some good time travel movies?

At the time I watched it, I thought the first sequel sucked hard.

However, a very young Erica Durance.

Number 3 is even worse.

However a youngish Rachel "Meg II from Supernatural" Milner.

"Back to the Future" - The first of the trilogy is the best, IMO.
"Timecop" -Fun, cheesy, and Van Damme in underwear.
"The Time Machine" -1960 George Pal version is the better movie, IMO.
"Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home" -Fun, silly, Trek.
"Planet of the Apes" -The original 1968 version, though the new movie is awesome, there is no time travel.
"The Man From Earth" -While it's not a time travel movie per se, it does deal with a man who has lived for thousands of years.
"The Final Countdown" -Featuring a young Martin Sheen and older Kirk Douglas, who finds himself and his 1980s carrier back in WWII.

two is about the man who gets everything and still isn't happy so cocks it up.

3 is about a PI who backsteps to observes crimes in the process, where he knows if he makes any changes that shit gets bad. Problem is, that there's a second time jumper in this one and their time lines start overlapping which turns into a whodunnit because he can't completely figure up who he is spitroasting time with.

Without giving anything away, yep it's a time travel movie as well as a kinda slasher movie, but not typical as in "I'm getting into my time machine now".
I liked it more than I thought I would actually.

Triangle?

I have been avoiding that movie for years because I thought it was just a slasher flick set on a boat.

I seen a lot of time travel movies. There are many different ways of using it. Comedy, drama, mystery, etc, etc.

What are you looking for?

Not mentioned yet is Time Bandits directed by Terry Gilliam of Monty Python. Its a comedy, fantasy and adventure.

I actually "own" Triangle already, sticking it in the machine now.

Oh! Mellissa George. She is beautiful, but her real accent gives me far too many home and away hot flashes. i don't care if the Mentalist and Longmire crawled out of Home and Away, but that soap is where good taste goes to die.

The last 20 minutes were cut off the rendering I saw, which pissed me off, but i saw a movie called backtime, which was just furiously layered with the time travel, that most everything we saw in the first iteration turned out to be clues evidence of the next 10 time jumps overlapping a predestined rigid continuity... And Tom Baker is in their playing a paranoid android.

I saw retroactive for the first tiem ever a couple weks ago.

James Belushi as a hillbilly they keep not quite killing well enough so they keep jumping back in time to get him...

There seems to be a new movie called 'retroactive' listed for coming out in 2013.

I'd love to see Backtime (big Tom Baker fan). I found it listed for $25 on amazon for a VHS copy but I'd have to buy a VCR too. :)

You need to see the last 20 minutes of Triangle for it to make sense as a whole.

I'm more annoyed about the first twenty minutes.

I've had to rerun it 3 times because the phone keeps ringing.

One of the hot totties is from the Australian Sopranos 'the Straights".

The first sequel sounds dumb. Hmmmm. Doesn't sound like something I would want to watch.

The third one sounds semi interesting with the second jumper.

J Allen posted most of the best ones...

The original TimeCop with Jean Claude Van Damm is pretty good... the second isn't as good, but still worth a watch for the hilarious nazi scenes...

There's always a ton of good TV shows based around time travel...
