Does anyone have any suggestions? Anybody else been there? I'll be spending about 10 days, I can do whatever I want, and right now I've only really decided that I want to ride an elephant (I found an elephant riding trail). I'm excited!! :)

Man! Thai food is awesome! Definitely check that out because they are so darn cheap! Have fun!

Be careful. I've heard that one night in Bangkok can make a hard man humble.

Have a good time, though.

Take advantage of the cheap massages (real ones, not the kind most people are probably thinking about).

For about $15 Canadian I got an hour long massage on the beach with cold aloe vera. It was awesome. They took an aloe vera plant out of a cooler and squeezed the gel-like juice out and used that instead of oil.

In all seriousness, be very respectful of the King of Thailand. You will see photos of him and his wife everywhere. In stores, on the side of skyscrapers (as big as 50 feet tall in Bangkok), in hotels and malls. Don't damage or mock the photos. Don't ask silly questions about the King, tease or make jokes. Citizens will be easily offended to the point of rage, and in the bleakest case you could be jailed and caned.

P.S. Watch The Hangover II and learn what not to do.

And, for the love of all that's holy, don't mention that the emperor has no clothes.

You should go Phuket when you get the chance. NIce beaches...and great food! The Temple of Emerald Buddha is great to... It use to be a place of worship of the royal family. You know, Northern Thailand is also great. You can go on a elephant ride and enjoy the scenery.

I saw that movie, haha. I'll be sure to do absolutely nothing that any of them do ;)

The girl I'm going with really wants go to Phuket. Thanks for the suggestion :). And we're definitely planning the elephant ride. When did you go? Any things to watch out for or be careful of?

Are you two going by yourselves or with a tour group? How open are you and your gf to watching other women do incredible things with their bodies?

Also, make sure your gf never physically touch any of the monks you see in Thailand. They take that shit seriously.

It might be a good idea to learn Swedish if you're going to Thailand. We've sorta...Well, this is awkward. Occupied Thailand...

If you're in Bangkok, an incredible place to have dinner or just have a drink is the Vertigo Bar in the Banyan Tree Hotel.

It's a rooftop bar that's 70 stories up with a 360 degree view of Bangkok, it's really a sight to behold. I go there everytime I'm in Bangkok.

Other than that, get some shirts or a suit made if you have the time, you save a ton of money and the quality is great. This is my guy, and he ships it free of charge to you:

Like other people have said the food is amazing, so definitely enjoy that aspect. Don't eat the street meat though. Oh and definitely don't say anything bad about the Thai royalty.

Of course there's things like Patpong and Soi Cowboy, not for the faint of heart. If you're travelling with a girl you should probably just avoid that altogether....

Enjoy though - the Thais are some of the most friendly, respectful people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.
