That's resident of the state (Texas for instance), not the whole country.

State favouritism, not Federal favouritism.

I'm assuming that to be seen as a resident of a state that you have to own property, or be a party to a rental/leasing contract for at least a year. Or to officially stay in residence within the state for a decided upon fraction of the year, which is something you have to take account of sometimes for taxes.

Whether state residence has anything to do with American Citizenship, is an order of magnitude above where in America that you live. If Jess is not a citizen, (She's married a couple Americans?) then the numbers for tuition we were seeing above, multiply them by 5 to 10 depending on how racist the college in question is.

Adam needs to marry the tattooed lady, to save 50 grand in paying for her school, or he maybe earned a lot more than we thought doing those ads.

In the pilot, he was the boring boyfriend Marnie was hiding from in Hannah's bed, who she wrote shit about in her diary, which he read, and then turned into a song, that he ragefully sung at Marnie and bar room full of drunk dancing people.

OH! I remember that rageful song! That is rather hilarious. Now he's a fake gangsta with a drug habit living in filth. Yet Marnie was dumb enough to have sex with him and will now have to get herself super tested.

Then again he probably isn't any worse than Desi, in fact he's quite likely to be better.

I assumed when I saw the title of this episode "Hello Kitty" that it would be about Shosh and Japan. The setting of the play about the Kitty Genovese murder as a backdrop was quite original and interesting.

Elijah continues to be a dead end story. Get rid of him and do Hannah's parents instead.

The Elijah chapters are shite, but if you drop his storyline, then the gay audience will stop watching. It's better that they work through this, and try to figure out how to write a good Elijah story rather than drop him all together, or you'll end up with another Kes/Jennifer Lien situation.
