True enough, and I think many (if not most) people here are aware of that, but I'm guessing it's RDM's exec-producer/reimaginer/etc. credentials which were probably a greater factor in getting a shuttle named for him.

Yeah, a lot of my friends ask me about R D Moore after i show them BSG, about how brilliant the re-imagining is etc. I tell them that he saved the Trek mid-fanchise with DS9, only for it to be destroyed the killer B's.
Theyre astonished, being sci fi fans, that his credits span from Trek to BSG obviously, but when i tell them about Carnivale, Roswell, and my favourite, Robot Chicken to name but a few.
And the Bragga shuttle, well that was a small pointless utility shuttle inside the Berman shuttle that got destroyed by the first shot from the Narada in the beginning excaping the Kelvin. It only comes out of the Bermans back door to perform un-necessary repairs on decent shows and movies, and is only used when the Berman has run out of resources.
