Futuristic miniaturization. Makes logical sense.Definitely poor design as they're nigh unreadable at distance, which defeats rank insignia purpose.

That's fair. I liked the time jump and the status quo that it set up, even if I had some issues with the initial execution of the idea. My biggest regret of this era ending is that were not likely to get any more 32nd century Star Trek.Rewatching Season 2, still find the idea of Discovery crew going 950 years into the future a bad idea.
The crew leaving their lives behind to follow someone they knew for about a year, a worse idea.
And for Spock who never spoke to his sister for over ten years, leaving his mother behind, a terrible idea.
The best thing about season 2, it led to SNW.
IF he went (he didn't)...Send him back with Emperor Georgiou early in S3 (and the Guardian wipes his memory too.,)What would have been really weird is if Spock wound up coming with them and we wonder how he returns back in time...or he was transporter cloned and one traveled forward while the other became TOS Spock.

Man, am I glad they didn't do any of that. What would have been really weird is if Spock wound up coming with them and we wonder how he returns back in time...or he was transporter cloned and one traveled forward while the other became TOS Spock.
