Susan Ellison died in 2020; I don’t believe they had any children. This may have come up when the episode aired... but I was wondering. Did Harlan Ellison's estate (I believe his wife is still living) receive any royalties for the use of the Guardian of Forever in Discovery?
Happened to think about it when a Nick Locarno/Tom Paris thing popped up from the yt algorithm.
Couldn’t find the starship thread so I’ll just post this here. Came across concept art for the starfleet fighters used in the season 2 finale. This design is way better than the design they actually used, and actually looks starfleet.![]()
TOS was the Kirk/Spock/McCoy show. Not many complaints thereExactly what I was saying a while back. That's the only real shortcoming, to me. It's The Michael Burnham Show.
Don't tell me, "I would love to come back if asked."?![]()
Star Trek: Discovery's Sonequa Martin-Green Confirms Franchise Return Talks
Sonequa Martin-Green speaks about the possibility of returning to Star Trek as Michael Burnham.www.cbr.com
Pretty much.Don't tell me, "I would love to come back if asked."?
"I don't know if I would say movement, but we've definitely had conversations," Martin-Green said. "I would love to. I would love to return to that character at any point. Captain Michael Burnham, Admiral Michael Burnham, is like, ugh, my heart. I would love to do that. But at this point, it's a little more complicated because of the nature of things, and we'll see what Treks come from here. But yeah, I would definitely do it. I would do it. And Alex knows that too."
I would love that to happenI'm not saying I believe anything will come of this, but it would be kind of funny. with That Crowd saying things like "Kurtzman killed Star Trek with the undeniable failure that is Disco" if the first thing Paramount's owner's greenlight is some manner of Disco revival.
Of any department on the production side in the Kurtzman era, the casting directors were consistently on their A-game over the last decade.
- Yeoh and Martin-Green brought their A-games. These are two people who could entertain an audience by reading the phone book.
Nice to see Sonequa Martin Green in new work. Just now saw a TV ad for her in a new show called Boston Blue with Donnie Walberg playing as his character Danny Reagan.
