Spoilers General Disco Chat Thread

We never found out what became of him. Obviously, the Empire didn't get him otherwise killing Lorca again would have looked very strange to the I.S.S. Shenzhou crew.

OK I thought they said something about him dying, well in that case it does leave the door open for his return.

Now what about that flying hotel it looks like it would fit right in?

Random thought here... watching Paramount Plus on PC browser sure is buggy. With the episode I'm watching right now, the "skip" button stayed on the screen for the first nine minutes, and then it disappeared when the opening credits started! :brickwall:

Not a lot of dev time is put into streaming apps, as long as they work and do the intended job that's all that matters.

Nothing about Discovery at CC today? I would have thought that new season was coming around the holiday time. Maybe we might get some news on Vegas, even though I doubt it.

Season 5 started filming in June, and is still filming, it's not coming this year.

Recently binged DIS Season 4. Yeah it's a bit too melodramatic, but like the prior seasons I found each episode compelling and it kept me entertained from start to finish. I also understood that they were somewhat limited on what a pregnant leading actress could do physically. Though it was kind of weird how characters would disappear, I suspect pandemic constraints were a reason for that.

Sonequa Martin Green also lost both of her parents within a day of each other. Her father passed away from cancer and her mother died the day after from unrelated causes. I think this also limited how the season was filmed and when SMG could be available for scenes.

Finally getting around to Season 4.

Kobayashi Maru is a really good hour or so of Star Trek. Like, really good.

Only misfire for me is why send Saru back home only to snatch him back again.

Still, it's good. For posterity and those who have of late been claiming that characters are 'constantly taking about feelings in the middle of a crisis' or 'crying' and that such things happen 'every episode' I've decided to do a count.

E01 Kobayashi Maru

Time spent crying: 0.00

Time spent talking about feelings in the middle of a crisis: 0.00

Season 4.

Total crying time so far: 0.00

Total time spent talking about feelings in the middle of a crisis so far: 0.00

I seem to recall that there was a video in circulation of the cast of DSC singing a filk version of "Seasons of Love" from Rent.

Is it still out there someplace?
