Spoilers General Disco Chat Thread

Anyone remember if we saw the TOS inpsired data disks again after season 1?

They mention the Galactic Barrier in pretty much every episode. If they don’t show it before the season ends I’m going to run around naked covered in chicken blood while drinking Jolt cola in front of Alex Kurtzman’s house.

I really hope we don't see it, if only because the vfx team doesn't seem to understand it's supposed to be at the edge of the galaxy.

S4 twist theory:
A group of disgruntled miners from Tennessee left Earth hundreds of years ago and moved to the galactic suburbs. Over the centuries, their language changed, and in the end, they called the Federation the V'Draysh, and themselves... ...the Ten'See.

What is the music used in the end credits? Is it a season 4 theme? Is it the same in each episode?

Number One's pad in Season 2 Episode 4 did have a slot in the top that looks like could fit one, but yeah it does seem like they haven't appeared since.

Edit: Wait one showed up in Season 2

With Discovery in the 32nd century, makes sense the Federation never got the spore drive in the 22nd century. Kinda neat idea actually.

God help me I'm become slightly fond of Discovery; can't help it since I've invested time in 3 seasons already. Gonna start Season 4 soon, or maybe I'll wait until I can binge the whole thing like the previous ones?

Looking forward to SNW, Picard S2 and S3 of Lower Decks. Still haven't watched Prodigy. Is it worth it? I mean, does it actually add anything to the franchise?

Prodigy adds well-regarded episodes featuring proper sci-fi situations, a serialised story with character development, hints about what happened after Voyager's conclusion, and fart jokes. Also the ship looks pretty great.

It's definitely a series designed to get children into Star Trek, but it's for children who are able to keep up with it.
