Uniform looks cool.

That scene (and pretty much all the tribble stuff) made me super cringe. Especially the horror shot of a crewmember being buried by tribbles, as someone's voiceover goes "They'll eat you alive."

Yuck.

i actually think that pike line (while played over that footage) was unrelated to the tribble short. just a hunch but the way this was edited, it’s like they want you to think these are all interconnected and i just don’t think that’s the case.

You are probably correct (more likely than not) but that edit sucked. It was awful and made the tribbles seem like a horror creature that they never were in Star Trek.

But, hey, I've never shied away from darker aspects of Star Trek. But, on the other hand, I hate horror.

Yeah, I think we are seeing clips of all three Pike shorts here:

• There is one where Pike is temporarily relieved of command and arrested
• There is another which is Spock's "origin story" on the Enterprise, and may just have Number 1 and Spock, no one else
• The third is the tribble short, which is mostly new characters, but Pike seems to briefly send off the captain on her maiden voyage.

it's a mix of the jumpsuit/flight suit uniform with a standard collar and zipper running straight down the middle and the disco-verse enterprise uniform yeah. looks a lot better without the asymmetrical collar and zipper to me.

Could the woman in the top picture be a Trill. There is a pattern down the side of her face. Though it appears to be raised and not spots.

i think she's definitely a trill. she wouldn't be the first one we've seen in the discovery-verse, there was a trill in the orion colony on kronos in "will you take my hand?".

I like the uniforms too. They're not my first pick, but I appreciate the design.

They are all critical points to the overall story they were telling, which they end up flubbing. Especially forgetting you could use the Mycelium Network as a transporter.

It wasn't being used in that instance as a transporter in the least. It was being used as a powerpoint presentation for what the system could do if the could get it to work. Even I could see that.

Is it just me, or is the guy in the middle photo on the right wearing something very, very close to a Cage uniform? Could this be the visual continuity missing link for those of us anal enough to want to link up all the visual continuity?

They're definitely Disco-Cage Uniforms. They work. But I'm glad Disco-TOS Uniforms were used instead for the Enterprise.
