Well, Jake Sisko can definitely carry off a Starfleet uniform :luvlove: (I had such a crush on S6 & 7 Jake!) Although I'm glad he didn't end up in Starfleet like so many officers' children did.

Ahhh... Nog :adore:
Wildman looks great in the FC uniform. I wish we'd seen more of her on Voyager - I really liked what little bits & bobs of her character that we did get to see.

I love the Tellarite Station image, but isn't it the Ware repair station from "Dead Stop"? (Although, IIRC, didn't a Tellarite ship provide Enterprise with the station's coordinates and a recommendation for its work?)

I've just been having a look your Comedy page - Kirk: "What have you done? He's not wearing a red shirt!" :guffaw:

Just wondering how one imports files from hard-drive? I don't want to use Facebook as I'm not getting the url to go through (not without a login, anyway)
So can't yet share much.

Hi @CaptChris42. I don't think you can import files from a hard-drive unless you're a premium member or somesuch. Instead, you'll probably have to use an image hosting site like gazomg here does. There are some suggestions in the Fan Art FAQ (pinned in this forum).
Also, if you have any general questions that aren't answered in the FAQ thread (or elsewhere in the forum/board), rather than ask them in someone's dedicated art thread (like this one of gazomg's), it's probably best to create your own thread - you can then post your resulting art there, too. Good luck and happy drawing! :bolian:

@gazomg, is there a reason why you stopped actually posting your art on here? Because if all this thread (and your other, similar one) are going to be is a place to announce updates to your personal website, I’m afraid I’m going to have to ask you to stop posting them. The link to your site in your signature is fine of course, and maybe you could even try including periodical updates in there (as long as they don’t exceed the four lines of text everyone is given). But this is supposed to be a place for fans to post their fan art and have people react to it/discuss it here. The Trek BBS is not a place meant to promote your content off-site. So I will have to ask you to stop posting these updates and actually post actual fan art to the board again.

Perhaps I didn’t make myself clear enough: Stop posting text updates to your site on here. This is a message board, not some sort of changelog for your site. You may put them in your signature, if you like. But if I see you post them in-thread one more time, I’ll just close this down.

Also, if you do post your work, please try to post it as inline images, not just some link to an off-site source. Otherwise I’m going to assume you don’t actually want any kind of interaction here, you know, the message board you’re posting this to. I don’t feel this is too much to ask, really.

*sigh*

Yeah, it’s really quite the hellscape here, isn't it? All these draconian rules … like a mod asking you to finally start posting your fan art to the Fan Art section again … after letting you use the site as a way to get traffic to your personal website for six or so years without saying anything. Just how can you even bear to be here? :wtf:

It’s interesting that you have so much to complain about the board, when the vast majority of people here seem to have no trouble at all posting their fan works and contributing to the discussion around them. But yeah, it’s probably everyone else who’s wrong.

With your "only 4 lines of text", that no one else seems to take notice of, but was mentioned to me
Four lines of text is the amount of text every poster on the board is allowed in their signature. It’s not a secret or anything. It says so in every version of the board rules you can find around here. And it’s only been this way for at least the past 16 years since I've been a member here. I’m sorry you didn't know that. But seriously, it’s not even a problem that you didn’t know that. Nor did I want to imply it was. In fact I suspected you weren't aware of that. Which is why I told you. So I'm not sure why you’re making this an issue.

and your " do this, do that"
Yeah, it’s almost like you're describing the job of someone who’s meant to keep an eye on the rules and make sure they are followed. Like some sort of person, I don't know, moderating the place.

mods crying if an old thread is bumped like you murdered someone
Well, it’s obvious that you’re now bringing your grievances about the whole place into this, not just your problems with me. Because you will almost never see me admonish a poster for resurrecting an old thread. In this part of the board it’s completely fine to revive age-old threads, as long as the person posting the thread is still even around to respond. How is that too much to ask?

now complaining the image I posted is not "inline".
What’s so weird about wanting you to post your work here for everyone to look at here and discuss here? Is that such an outlandish request?

any wonder so many have departed.
Yet you are still here. Can’t be all that bad, can it?

and thanks for the feedback on the image I posted
Now why the hell would I give a flying fuck about the image you “posted”, after you not even pretended to acknowledge what I had asked you and decided to just ignore it?

So, again, you're either using this thread like everyone else around here is using the threads – to actually post their fan art here instead of just telling us to go look for it somewhere else – or we are done here.

What will it be?

you point might hold some validity if my signature had ever exceeded that , but it never has. So not sure why you lectured me previously on 4 lines if it only applies to the signature.
My signature always has been just what it is now, bar the changes to the number or date.

I can fully understand the rule for signatures not being bigger than 4 lines, but my "lines of text, were in the body of the post, not the signature.
Are we talking past each other by that much? You must have misunderstood. Here’s what I said again:
The link to your site in your signature is fine of course, and maybe you could even try including periodical updates in there (as long as they don’t exceed the four lines of text everyone is given)
You may put [your updates] in your signature, if you like.
I was talking about how, in the future, you might want to still post these updates to the board. Inside your signature. The area where it now says: “TOTAL IMAGES - 4,835- 6th January — http://gazomg-trek-art.blogspot.com/” And that if you wanted to do that, you’d have to restrict yourself to the four lines of text that are available in your signature.

What I’m saying is don’t let these updates be the content of your posts. Does that make it more clear?

As for the inline, my apologies, i did not realizing clicking on the link to the image would be such a crime
I don’t know about it being a “crime”, but I’d rather you post art directly to the board instead of just a link or plain text. Just to keep people here and make this the place where people look at it.

The Naval Patrol logo looks great, gazomg! I like the texture but can't make up my mind whether it's stone or metal.
