Gateway sucks

No thanks to Gateway, I can't working on my scripts! I know that I was supposed to be on my vacation, but I wanted to visit to studying the scripts before I go. Turned out that gateway frozen a lot! It's pissed me off to no end at all! :brickwall:

I don't think I can working on the scripts until I revive my old computer! :brickwall:

I never liked Gateway. I didn't like how they screwed with me back in the mid-90s. I bought a 486 DX2/66 for $3000 with the expectation there would be a Pentuim overdrive chip available soon after the Pentium was released.

It took something like 2 to 3 years for it to show up and then Gateway wouldn't even provide the BIOS update needed to use it, we had to fund that on our own.

Between that and the sub-standard monitors they were selling (they got sued for those) I never bought another Gateway product again.

Are you certain it's not the OS?
While some people seriously dislike them, Gateways are actually decent computers. I worked on very few Gateways in my time, but I've worked on a shitload of Packard Bells and Compaqs.

What kind of computer do you own now? And I planned on to buying brand new HP computer, it would be my second one ever since my grandparents bought hp computer for me back in year 2001-2002. What a drag!

Yes, I'm certain that it's not the OS! How can I working on the scripts when it comes to frozen a lot?! I won't be able to remember what I wrote on it!

You're certain that because it's freezing, it is not the operating system but the hardware itself. Describe the symptoms, please.

For example, what is your operating system?
What is the make and model of your Gateway PC?

J.

Well that's any major computer company. Dell did it a lot.

I own a Gateway. I don't think I would buy it again if I could. A little too slow and it freezes up a lot. Tends to overheat a lot too, but I suppose I should dust it out more. On the other hand though it is true I have had it for 4 years and have never had to take it in once.

Oh, that was many computers ago. My next one after that was a P120 I built myself.
