It'd be neat if then there was a scene with Danynerys, Tyrion, and a Stark, the last holders of their names declaring final peace with each other.

I like the sentiment of that idea, but doesn't seem like Martin's style and has repeatedly indicated that the series would have a bittersweet ending. Of course, the show could take a different direction.

Oh, I don't think the show will *end* on that note. I think it'd be a neat scene that might occur toward the end, prior to the final conflict with the white walkers. I totally believe that the series will end in a very bitter tasting victory.

I think that however the series ends, it will be strongly implied that the cycle of the struggle for power in Westeros will continue. It is not the kind of show where people are going to learn from their mistakes.

Genetically, yes. Legally, that would be Tommen.

I agree the struggle for power will continue but probably drawn along different lines than before.

A thought just occurred: Who is the lord of House Baratheon now that Robert, Stannis and Renly are all dead with no (legitimate) heirs? Or is just assumed that Tommen is, even though he's not actually Robert's son?

Legally Tommen is still considered to be Robert's son, so he's both head of House Baratheon (making him Lord of Storm's End) and King of the Seven Kingdoms.

Otherwise, it seems House Baratheon is all but extinct, unless Gendry is legitimized and continues the line.

He already returned. Brienne finds him chilling at the inn in 'Feast'.

There was another Baratheon bastard in the books that Martin might be talking about. For the show they combined his character with Gendry.

Who would Sansa be considered legally married to? Would it be Tyrion or Ramsay? Does the fact she didn't consummate with Tyrion negate it?

I've just finished rewatching Season 5, and noticed at the end apart from Olly and Ser Alliser, four other men stab Jon. Yet when he executed the traitors a few episodes ago there were only two others (apart from Olly & Alliser.) Just wondered what happened to the other two, was it mentioned, I can't remember.

Probably the two that got killed by Tormund and Wun Wun when the Wildlings busted down the gate.
