Game Of Thrones Season 6 Discussion (Spoilers)

It seemed to me the only reason Arya survived that attack is that the Waif intentionally inflicted an injury that would make her suffer a long time, directly ignoring Jaquen's request not to make her suffer. She could have quickly slit her throat if she wanted it to be quick.
It is now the Waif who has failed the Faceless God so perhaps Joqen cures Arya with one of his magic potions and sends her to finish off the Waif.

The whole business with the Brotherhood turning savage does make we wonder if Emh is indeed correct. If so, the show runners are going to have to cram a lot of stuff in if we're only 16 or so episodes from the end of the series.

The Hound's story this week was abysmally lazy overall, so it is hard to say what is worth reading into from the brief appearance of those supposed Brotherhood members. Apparently the Hound stopped off for a nap on his way back to the hippy commune and the raiders didn't even bother raiding anything.

Wow, great job by the young actor playing Lyanna Mormont. She shut down Sansa and Jon with ease and wit. The comment about Sansa's current last name was priceless. Lannister or Bolton? "I've heard conflicting reports." LOL

Davos with the great fatherly approach to get her to listen.

What a great scene.

What I found funny, Sansa was complaining to Jon about Davos only getting a handful of men to fight. Well without Davos, you would have none. It looks like the letter Sansa was writing, is being delivered to Black Fish by Brienne and not Littlefinger. What I'm most concerned about is the game Margaery is playing. She is kinda like Cerci here, trying to out play the High Sparrow. Hope she's better at the game than Cerci. However unlike her, Tommen is a true believe, because he's weak he will hold onto anything. So that may be trouble for Cerci, Jamie or even Margaery.

How can you possibly think that? Brienne is well on her way to Riverrun already with the mission at hand. The only logical person is Littlefinger.

Oh i expect great and brutal things from Margaery.. she's leagues above Cersei and i fear she's not above killing her own brother if he breaks fully and threatens to drag her down. Tommen is just a tool for her, always was so it remains to be seen what her plan really is. Just assassinating the Sparrow won't do it anymore.. that would have worked in the very early stages when he was not so well known but doing it now would just make him a martyr and rile up the people even more.

At this point i don't know how you could put the Sparrow back in the bottle, it's the same problem we have in our reality with religious extremists. How do you kill an idea that moves so many people and makes fanatics out of them?

I could be wrong, Brienne is handing Black Fish a letter in the new trailer. I guess it could be a different letter and put there for misdirection.

Wow...pretty good analysis of the letter there. My only problem with it was that the wax seal was supposed to be on the outside, holding the paper together, not inside next to her name. Otherwise, how would the raven get it there without it flapping in the breeze? Dramatic/artistic license, I guess. Either way, definitely a request for Littlefinger's aid. I'm assuming he will arrive at Winterfell in just the nick of time.

Brienne left for Riverrun in the previous episode, prior to Sansa writing the letter in this one, so it's definitely a different letter.

I thought it was nice of Al Sweartothegodsengen to sit down and have that nice expository conversation about how he found the Hound barely alive like months to a year ago just in time for us in the audience to hear it. It's like the two of them had never spoken before today.

Yeah, she did an excellent job.

18? I thought it was 13, is the last season supposed to be longer?

You mean 13 episodes for only the last season?

Neat, that gives them a little more room at least.
no, 7 episodes for seventh season and 6 episodes for eight and final season. At least that is what the showrunners/producers want. HBO may ask for more

Is the Hound in the Riverlands ? I know that Walder Frey was told that that the Brotherhood without Banners is currently operating against the Freys in the Riverlands. Or does the Brotherhood operate in other places beside the Riverlands.

If the Hound is in the Riverlands, he could easily run into Brienne, Jamie and Bronn in the next few episodes.

BTW the really young Mormont leader was awesome. Jorah Mormont will be proud of her if only he knew.

If Walder Frey ever find out about what happened to Walda Frey aka Walda Bolton, i wonder what he would do to Ramsay. Bolton and Frey forces clashing at the border perhaps.

I think the Brotherhood is mostly just active in the Riverlands. Clegane was in the Vale when he fought Brienne, but Ian McShane's septon could have found him there and they could have eventually ended up back in the Riverlands during their travels.
